Martin has just been bad, really bad that's all. Carruths data after the Dickey game has him as the worst framer in baseball (2nd worst to worst)...and his framing has been bad today as well so I'm sure he will stay there another day.

Watch a Pirates game with Cervelli behind the plate. Martin can't frame a boderline pitch for a strike right now if his life depended upon it. He didn't get a single call that last inning on the outside edge.

He has been really struggling framing balls down in the zone.

From what I gather the sample size is smaller with the BP data. But it doesn't matter, both tell you the same thing that his framing has been really bad so far this year.

Currently BP data has Martin as the 5th worst framer in baseball.

Martin is currently the 2nd worst framing catcher. I really do hope he comes around because this isn't the same player I watched with the Yankees and Pirates defensively. Cervelli is currently framing the Mona Lisa. Guy is a beast.

My point is Martin is not framing pitches down in the zone which is bizarre.

Even the games he isn't catching Dickey his framing hasn't looked good IMO especially down in the strike zone.

I would have argued with the guy that Josh Donaldson became the best player on this team the moment he was traded.

Donaldson hits 4th base and the team cums together at home plate. Beautiful end to the game.

Gibbons and AA will start feeling the heat from the media if this continues for another week. Gibbons will be fired before June. Hale takes over. AA is fired at the end of season.
