Bad news: Morrow is scheduled to throw a light catch on Friday

You can knock Morrow for being somewhat injury prone since joining the Blue Jays and since we have lacked depth in our pitching staff it has been annoying. His injuries have really hurt this team. Fans get frustrated with Morrow, I totally "get it". However, for a pitcher that has put up a 9.6WAR since joining this team in 2010, I would consider it as great news to have him back in the starting rotation or the bullpen especially considering our recent injuries with Dickey, Cecil etc. -
Toronto: +39 Baltimore: -5 Red Sox: -17 NY Yankees:-27 Rays: -50 Who would have thought that in June Toronto would have the only positive run differential in the division? The disparity is quite alarming. This is great news for the team. Our division for the taking!

Even with his current control problems I still think he has value in potential high leverage situations. Men in scoring less than two outs in a one or two batter type role when the defense does not want balls in play. Start there, build up his confidence in his control one or two batters at a time. If he implodes then damage will be minimal.

82 innings and counting 7.61k/2.52BB 3.95xFIP 1.2 WAR For a guy that was a total question mark coming into the season, we should be really proud of this kid for what he has done so far.
