    Nah. AA's decision to acquire Josh Donaldson with 4 years of control for Brett Lawrie, Kendall Graveman, Sean Nolin and Franklin Baretto is impossible to top.

Players that are just "good", not a likable team ( subjective but 99% of Canada would disagree) and calling guys like Martin, Bautista, Donaldson, Encarnacion hired guns...please.... just an awful argument all together there BTS...you have to admit that at least.

    What do you have to say about their fWAR and them being just "good"? The only hired guns on this team are Lowe, Price and Hawkins in which AA gave up peanuts for. Saying Tulo, Bautista, Martin, Encarnacion and Donaldson are hired guns is pure derp.

    fWAR would disagree with you on them being just good. Out of all those guys the only one that can be seen as not likable is Bautista. Hired guns? Tulo, Donaldson (perhaps the best player in MLB) and Russell Martin are under team control for like 3/4+ years. Gotta be trolling here.

    A team filled with Donaldson, Tulo, Bautista, Encarnacion, Rusell Martin, David Price and 1st place in the Al East doesn't make you want to root for the Jays but the thought of Mark Shapiro does? LOL!

    Donaldson has the highest/most important saber stat for the nerds with a 7.3 fWAR and the fundamentalist voters will love dat .300 plus a-fridge (projecting), 2nd in the league in dingers, leads the league with 104 ribeeeez and dem intangibles being the catalyst for the blue jays helping them make the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years. He has this won on all fronts.

    Josh Donaldson now beginning to run away with the AL MVP... 7.3 fWAR vs. 6.8 fWAR Only 0.2 fWAR behind Harper. Donaldson might end up being the best player in MLB by the end of the year.

    So Don Zaun initially leans toward Trout for MVP because Trout plays CF as opposed to 3rd base. Now Don Zaun leans toward Donaldson because the Angels are trending downwards out of a playoff birth. My god!

    Gregg Zaun is a moron. Pitchers face a right handed hitter 73.6% of the time (accounting for switch hitters). They don't call 3rd base the "hot corner" for nothing. It is an EXTREMELY difficult infield position. I do not weigh the importance of 3rd base any more than I do centre field. You need great players at BOTH positions defensively. Really the only defensive position that is NOT "premium" IMO is 1st base.

    There numbers are nearly identical. Who ever is hotter (or team is playing better) in last august/september will get the nod from the voters I believe. IMO that will be an advantage that goes to the Jays and Donaldson.

    I would love to see Donaldson surpass Trout in fWAR by the end of this 3 game series. Was hoping he would get at least .1 bump last night.
