  1. I thought I read yesterday that AA wasn't interested in firing Gibbons and knows the problem lies on the roster, on his shoulders.
  2. You also can't blame a front of the rotation starter from not wanting to play another 5+ years of basement cellar baseball.
  3. If only Josh Johnson had bounced back and pitched above projected levels like we hoped.
  4. If it makes you feel better 8 of the 15 teams in the AL have a > 4 ERA meaning more than half the league needs to score 5+ every game to win.
  5. If I thought in the off season this was going to be our starting line up come May I might've puked a little.
  6. deGrom is such a beast. 8IP 1H 0BB 11K. That is a damn good outing and makes me more depressed by how bad we are.
  7. Basically just looking for other options, I know he's not on the 40. He has major league experience though and was finding success at that level before going down.
  8. Also LHP Luis Perez should be called up at some point for relief, he's starting to find his groove again after having Tommy John. He started in Buffalo but got roughed up bad and since has been up and down between Bisons and Fisher Cats all season. His last 6 games has been 10IP 0ER 9K 3BB 5H. I hope keeps it up, I really liked him a couple years ago.
  9. Dare I say some of our starting pitching is starting to look closer to average at least. Hutch, Sanchez, Buehrle, Estrada are throwing better. At this point Dickey still doesn't have it and Monday's shitshow with Redmond starting didn't help the bullpen out. If they can't make a move for a starting pitcher, at the very least they got to be able to make something happen and improve the bullpen's depth. Hell, go rent Rafael Soriano for the season, he has to be more reliable than most arms we got and won't cost an asset.
  10. The last time this team was close to being relevant was 2008's 86 game season. They were 21st in runs scored and 1st in ERA resulting in 4th in the majors in run differential (2nd in AL). It's a team sport but when it comes to winning your odds drastically improve with great pitching over great offense and we haven't seen that in years. There's a reason we can't hit great pitching because great pitching outweighs great hitting. I'm pretty tired of the same ol' team.
  11. That's your posting thought process.
  12. He's also been unlucky at the plate, while striking out less, walking more. As his BABIP stablizes, he will level out, I don't think he's regressing just likely off to a rough start and his avg will rise over time.
  13. 3.77 xFIP and from your 5th starter its as good as the Jays can ask for.
  14. Mets game http://i.imgur.com/5y5r5nI.jpeg
  15. Missed the game, had my sons baseball game tonight. Sanchez line looks okay at a glance.
  16. Gyros with extra tzatziki and a diet pepsi got in his way.,
  17. The fact that we need to consider Phil Coke to help our BP tells you everything you need to know about this season. Coke vs right handed AL East bats would be entertaining.
  18. http://i.imgur.com/0wPSUHw.jpg
  19. Your solution to fix the Jays is to bring up Norris and Kawasaki. Plan the parade.
  20. Glad we got out of that series in time.
