    I posted that during the at bat, when it was 3-0 on the verge of walking bases loaded. He tends to cruise before the knuckleball curses him. To be fair that was pretty limited damage all things considered.

    This team has lead the league several times in runs scored over the past decade but pitching has always done them in. Same s*** different season, especially with Stroman out of the picture. I know he wouldn't be the Saviour but the outlook would at least be different. Anyway that's a non-story now. We're stuck banking on a a 40yr old knuckleballer and a 36 yr old slowball pitcher to go 7 innings / game. They are underachieving no doubt but their careers are dwindling down. Buehrle can't get away with missing spots throwing 83mph fastballs as there's not a team in baseball that can't tee him up right now. Same thing with Dickey, if he can't control the knuckleball it's another walk walk dinger on his 80mph fastball. The only good thing right now is that things can't be any worse than it is, we're 2 games below .500 and Estrada can't possibly pitch fewer innings than Norris did.

    What would be the cost difference in July by trading for a rental like Zimmerman and signing an FA in the off season compared to unloading for Hamels? Seems like a cheaper deal with more options for the future, no?

    Maybe I'm crazy but Pompey seems disappointed with himself like... 90% of the time. I noticed it when he first missed a hit and run call a couple weeks ago, then smacked a double and was so mad at himself. He seems to have the same frustrated look constantly since.
