    The scary part was right after he started chugging a full can of red bull. I thought he was about to go all Lawrie on him.

    Yes.. yes he is, at least for now. He could also become an average catcher getting paid $20MM much like Buehrle is to pitchers in 4 years time. I'm not complaining, just others are looking for more cash available after this season but they do forget we have an expensive piece coming.

    Compared to how the rotation has performed thus far I don't think he could do any worse than what others have done. In fact I'd even go so far to say its completely plausible that a rotation of Norris, Wolf, Redmond, Estrada, Hendriks could show a better result to this point in the season than what the current staff has done. I'm not saying that's a better rotation, I'm saying Redmond amongst others couldn't possibly have done much worse than what we've seen to this point in the season.

    Don't forget Martin's contract is practically wiping out Buerhle's going forward, from 7MM to 15MM then on to 20MM x 3yr. It's not all gravy.

    Well lets look at the positive, at least Hutchison had a solid start. He's also lowered his xFIP to below 4 for the first time this season (The only Jays starter there at the moment). Buehrle has thrown 4 quality starts in 7 outings and has thrown well his last 2 starts. Then we have Dickey & Sanchez, they uhmm... yea they can throw.. the ball... sometimes over the plate and Estrada looks like he could etch his name in the record books... albeit for home runs against. Hmm.. f***.

    I feel like the 'window' has a bit of an extension with Donaldson and Martin in the mix even if one of Bautista/EE are out of the picture or less effective after next season. JD is a monster and will carry the middle of this order. Maybe it's just me but I'm a lot less worried than before. In a few years this team will still be good, in fact if the pitching comes around by then we will be likely better off than we are today. Offense wins fans but pitching wins seasons.
