  1. I'm sorry but I disagree with this. Knowing that every ump is different, every pitcher since the beginning of time has had to make in-game adjustments to satisfy him. That's all part of being a pitcher... I get it that there is going to be human error but tough titties. When a rotation stinks overall you notice the missed calls more often because you finally threw a 3rd strike, stop sucking and you won't notice it. When Mariano Rivera painted the corners with a cutter, he'd get the odd missed call like anyone but since he was consistently good it rarely would change an outcome. In other words, if our pitching staff didn't suck so badly this wouldn't even matter, we sound like poor losers crying that it's just not fair. Here's an idea, replace the knuckleball thrower with someone who knows where the ball is going to go.
  2. better than a no-no with a couple walks...? I'm sure we'll see it.
  3. If they lose you should be banned and username renamed to SirJinxAlot SirJinxAlot2

  5. This is going to be Hutch's big game to get him going, I can feel it. 7IP 4H 1ER. Let's do this.
  6. Let's presume Bautista is destined for surgery and can only be used as a DH this season. I would be tempted to trade EE because its creating a ripple effect in the line up and on the field. I don't think you could trade Bautista with an injury.
  7. He will also not continue to be this bad considering his bb/9 is sitting far above his career line. Yes his .239 season babip is low but its also not a fool proof stat to tell a whole story. As a ground ball pitcher he's going to give up his share of hits but he's consistently produced weak contact that babip doesn't account for. You might not be able to control where a ball goes but if it doesn't leave the infield the odds tip in your favour.
  8. He was actually a last ditch effort for a 5th starter this season and so far he's improved with every start. A couple of walks he got f***ed over on tonight and he shouldn't have pitched the 8th when he was clearly tired and gave up two more before being pulled.
  9. Chris Portobello. Who's hungry? http://i.imgur.com/XFGfeAS.jpg
  10. So Aaron Sanchez. You might scare me but starts like this from you are acceptable because no one tees you up to knock in the runners anyway.
  11. Pretty sure fangraphs has always mentioned to never read much in to UZR/defensive scores for like < half a season to grade a player. I think defensive stats need time to balance out, maybe to adjust to true league averages? I'm not sure.

  13. I present to you. Chris Portobello http://i.imgur.com/XFGfeAS.jpg
  14. So that's a no on the strippers?
  15. Reyes would have pulled a muscle making that play.
  16. He's doing a lot more than hitting for average. Beastmode Martin is earning rights to wear that beard.
  17. I think the scrubs corked their bats tonight. They should do that more often.
  18. If they carpet an entire stadium like Rogers Centre between events, surely they could extend a strip of turf on the stairs for grip
