  1. For some reason I thought you replied to the comment above saying everyone who is likely to get traded has had their value been at an alltime low.
  2. It's not really up to Donaldson at all. He like all the other MLB players tell their agents to get the best deal possible which means likely heading to FA. He has no say if he gets traded or not. I also think the narrative that people are going to buy tickets to watch Josh Donaldson on a bad team false. For Toronto filling the dome has always been about whether the team is good, not a single player.
  3. Astros already have the division locked up basically. If they make a trade it'll be for pitching which helps more in the postseason.
  4. I don't think you would even get a prospect back for Liriano, maybe a low level pitcher if you ate the salary. I think you listen to offers but unless someone is going to blow your mind with a deal you can't say no to just stand pat and hope to remain in contention.
  5. I've really the offseason so far for all of the Canadian teams. Seems all could have done way better with the $ they ended up spending.
  6. Estrada has been terrible so you're likely not getting much unless he turns it around. Liriano isn't more than a salary dump. Smith is on the DL with a shoulder injury. Thats the 3 most obvious trade targets and their value is all down.
  7. That entire room is garbage. Random s*** they try to sell for $300.
  8. The real question is do you trade him to the Red Sox or Yankees if those are the only deals to be made? None of the other contenders have a need at 3rd base and the Sox and Yankees have the prospects to get it done. Interesting to see if how the Jays FO feels not only trading within your division but your star player to the 2 big rivals.
  9. Well unless he's sitting at 95 his FB might be considered plus now but in a few years time it would probably only be average. And if the stuff doesn't get better is he going to be able to succeed against high level hitters? That's probably what the scout's concerns are.
  10. If a guy is short his fastball might not play up to the same relative velocity considering how close far their arm is when they extend so I think its valid.
  11. Seems like a pretty cheap price for someone ranked that highly. I guess a lot of these guys had agreements 12+months ago so if they became better then you can get a steal.
  12. Lol I thought for a second that GIF was from the game when they tied it up. That would have been legendary.
  13. Why the f*** would the Mets buy? You aren't getting much for JD right now given all the contenders have 3B and he's playing hurt.
  14. Agree. If he's a 4-5 win player by then he should get $150. His injuries are starting to pile up though.
  15. Lol he hasn't even taken it down yet. I fully expected it to in like 5 seconds but its been like 10 min.
  16. Jim Irsay with a nice tweet
  17. What are the PA and IP limit until prospects have to be promoted?
  18. lol Morosi on the Fan590 today said he didn't think JD would be get more than 3/75 in Free Agency in 2019 because of his age. I just about crashed my car on the highway listening to it.
  19. I'd rather not. Baseball is different than the other sports where a development by the org. matters a lot more to a player's career. You have guys like Bichette who if drafted by a s***** org. would want to overhaul his swing and can ruin players. Thats why players will tell teams don't draft me because a couple hundred K isn't worth it when the difference could be millions later on in their career. And in baseball you control them for 6 major league seasons so by the time you get out of that org. it could be too late. There's a reason why the Cubs have a pipeline of young talent coming through and then you have teams like the Orioles and Twins failing to develop young talent constantly.
  20. Yeah Jays should explore that. Maile is nice defensively but his bat is too much of a negative for him to add value.
  21. Knicks could offer like $10M. Not sure if he'd want to work for Dolan though he's one of the worst owners in sports.
  22. Thats pretty fun. Rockets are one of my fav teams to watch. Apparently the Knicks are targeting Masai
  23. Man it would take a lot for me to argue with someone on Twitter about dynasty fantasy baseball rankings. Not sure how you guys do it.
  24. Lets not go over the bridge. He wasn't at JP Howell's level..
