  1. Donaldson down to a 114wRC+. He better start hitting/get healthy soon if the Jays are really going to get some star prospects back.
  2. He ha a full no trade clause too. There's probably only a select few teams he would want to be moved to. Might as well just keep him.
  3. Why the hell do they show Montero's career numbers with the bases loaded and vs the AL East when they show his profile..
  4. Probably just better to wait. His value is at an alltime low and he's certainly better than this. Its not like the team desperately needs to shed salary, its one of the richest teams in the league. He isn't a bad guy to keep around during a rebuild anyway, can be a leader/role model for some of the younger players. You do need someone like that especially if Donaldson, Martin and all the other older players get moved.
  5. I don't know if it will be that good of a seller's market you have a ton of players available in the positions the Jays are selling. OF: Martinez, Cutch, Granderson, Bruce and then possibly Maybin, Cain, Dyson, Kris Davis SP: Quintanta, Cueto, Samardzja, Verlander, Gray, Cole 3B: Donaldson, Frazier, Cozart, Moustakas Obviously not all these guys will get traded but with the new QO system expiring contracts are going to get moved for w.e. Osuna might return the best package if you think of what Miller and Chapman got last year.
  6. I'll put the over/under of players actually on that team then at 3.5
  7. The Nationals do it a lot.
  8. Hell of a lot better than Jeter vs the As.
  9. I don't even think OG will be ready to start camp will he? I doubt he gets much playing time, most rookies suck so not the worst thing for him to spend some time on the bench to learn the NBA game.
  10. The new baseballs are harder apparently which is why a lot more pitchers are getting blisters and why they are going farther than ever before.
  11. I'd pass on Schwarber. Jimenez would be great if they also added a couple other guys although I can't see them making Bryant a fulltime LF.
  12. You made it sound like one of these teams with an established 3rd baseman would make a deal for Donaldson so I'm saying what package do you see one of these teams making? I said the Red Sox with Devers or Yankees with Torres make the most sense and that outside them and the Astros there aren't any trade partners that have the need, prospects and financial resources.
  13. What kind of package do you see the Jays getting and from who exactly?
  14. Doesn't anything 100K and under not count towards the pool?
  15. Could probably get back a couple 1sts if they took a contract back but if its a straight salary dump I'm not sure the return is going to be great. He hasn't really gotten any better over the last 3 years.
  16. Well that list is a fantasy baseball list, not an actual player value list. Pretty position player heavy.
  17. Outside Stroman the Jays pitchers are pretty bad too.
  18. The Marleau contract is bad lol. Montreal and Ottawa has been terrible. CGY- outside Hamonic its been dreadful EDM- Might have been the worst of any team signing Russel to 18M when he's among the worst Dmen in the game, then Eberle trade WPG- Meh VAN- Haven't done much but that roster is disgusting
  19. Honestly couldn't have been much worse. I think Dorion is one of the worst GMs in the league. Horrible with the media too.
  20. Have to think Cory Jo gets moved in a salary dump too. Have Wright as the backup PG anyway.
  21. Well the Cubs aren't going to move Bryant to LF for JD to play 3rd. Same with the Dodgers(Turner), Nats (Rendon), Rockies (Arenado). If you expect the Cubs to run away with the Central, of the teams in contention left you have the Dbacks, Yankees, Red Sox and Astros. Dbacks don't have the prospects or $. That leaves you 3 teams, 2 of which are division rivals. Maybe you can try to get the Yankees and Red Sox to create a bidding way and try to get Devers or Torres + another couple fillers. If the Jays could get Devers I'd probably make that deal but who knows if Shapiro wants to trade their franchise player to the Red Sox. The Wildcard is Donaldson has been really bad lately after that knee injury. Also have to remember you have Frazier and Josh Harrison on the market so the supply/demand for 3rd Baseman isn't great for trying to get a haul.
  22. Yeah that is true for season tickets but the $ is in the walk up sales. A season ticket in the 100 Level is worth around $68. With dynamic pricing that ticket for an "A' game (most are in the summer and September) is $89. Even the cheap games in April the same ticket costs more individually. So the team actually makes more money on non-season tickets which when you have a competitive team down the stretch will sell out. I would add Happ as one of the big trade pieces on the team. Has another year left on his deal so you can get a pretty good return for him I'd imagine. Joe Smith if he comes back healthy too.
  23. For the majority of baseballs players they sign with whoever offers them the most term and most $. I wouldn't expect Donaldson to be any different. They have pressure from their agents and the PA to take the biggest deal as that impacts other players in future negotiations.
