  1. I highly doubt it he's projected to have a 53wRC+ which is worse than Goins and Barney. He's likely crap.
  2. FVV looks really good. Best net rating on the team (league for that manner). Raptors have so much depth its scary. Almost have to make a trade since they have 11 good rotation players. Problem is there really isn't a star out there that's available. Maybe if OKC falls out of it and wants to trade George but I don't think they're going to take on JV's contract which would have to go the other way.
  3. SS was pretty rough last year looking at DRS and Inside Edge. Probably isn't getting any more athletic either. He'll be fine playing there twice a week but if Tulo goes down for a month I'm not sure you want him playing everyday there.
  4. Wonder if the Jays gave him a big raise to stay in Toronto.
  5. Yeah worst case is he is Ryan Goins with a better bat and worse glove. Upside is a 2-3 Win player with control.
  6. I meant as in he's mad at Goins but that wouldn't really make sense now that I think about it given he was tweeting about him.
  7. One thing is his xwOBA has been well below his actual wOBA the last 2 years so perhaps the bat is well below average. Probably what the Cardinals were looking at when deciding to trade him.
  8. Lol I don't get what Stroman is mad about. Is management supposed to send a memo via email to every player when someone is non-tendered? Unless he's saying Goins didn't find out until it was posted on twitter. Otherwise Goins should have just f***ing told him.
  9. I wonder if maybe they think 2016 he was taking PEDs. His ISO in 2016 looks like a big outlier especially given the ballpark he played in. Even if he's only a trued talent 90wRC+ that's pretty valuable given his positional versatility.
  10. That seems like a steal. Even if he's a lot closer to 2017 than 2016 great gamble. Woodman's strikeout rate makes him a likely bust.
  11. If the rumours about Melnyk are true I think they clean house with management (which would be great). Dorion is a terrible GM and while Boucher isn't that bad of a coach his lineup decisions are beyond stupid.
  12. So many on air guys in Canada are probably s***ing themselves now. Its not like it was only Jian Gomeshi and Zaun doing s***.
  13. Wasn't league avg 13% last year?
  14. Guy Boucher has the worst lineup decisions of any coach I have ever seen. Thomas Chabot is probably their 3rd best defenseman but no gotta sit their blue chip prospect fir Johnny Oduya's corpse. Not to mention Cody Ceci has been awful his entire career yet he's always playing top min. And I haven't even gotten to the forward lines or the PP..
  15. I don't think FAs really see the Blue Jays as much of a world series contender for this season. Washington would be a better fit for him I'd think. Get more playing time plus they have that division basically on lock.
  16. Seems like a weird time to be talking to a team about taking on a player's salary when there's been hardly any player movement. Doesn't really make sense.
  17. I wonder what the value of endorsements is in Canada vs a city in the US. A positive for the Blue Jays is they are a national brand so the reach would be 35 Million more than any city in the United States. However playing for the Blue Jays would limit his endorsements down South. He would still have the Nike/UA deal but the brands like Papa Johns or other National US brands wouldn't make as much sense.
  18. Basically like the NHL with goalies.
  19. My guess is he becomes a Yankee. They have the nicest facilities (including Spring Training and closest to Airport), have great young players, tons of $ to surround him with talent, great chance of winning, AL team with a DH opening and would be a massive star in that market. I want to think the Jays have a chance but whatever the Jays can offer the Yankees can offer more.
  20. Couple bad calls there. Derozan easily had his worst game of the year. Lowry and Freddy were amazing but wasn't enough.
  21. That would be a great fit basketball wise but I can't see him wanting to move his family to Philly. I think Paul George would be a great fit there and make them legit contenders right away.
  22. Looking for a star position player willing to trade 1 of Kershaw, Stras or Kluber in the right deal. Also would consider smaller trades for E-Rod.
  23. Well coming back from injury I don't think he was going to be put back in anyway. I know what you are saying about FVV as he's played questionable mins in the past but he was great tonight. I think the JV-Ibaka starting frontcourt has to be split up. Its clear they're terrible together and the raps are just losing valuable points when they're on the floor together.
  24. what? He's been great defensively out there. Powell and OG haven't been good at all this game.
  25. Siakam needs to stop switching off Porzingis.
