    There would be some big benefits to selling the team from the Blue Jays perspective. They could put the TV rights on the open market and get a pretty big chunk of $. Plus they could sell the naming rights to the stadium. I hope the new owner is hands off though and lets management do their job. Last thing we need is a Eugene Melnyk or Peter Angelos.

    Their owner is still terrible though. After Trout leaves they will be a mess.

    I'm hoping for the Mariners I think. It'd be cool to see him live for a series a year compared to an NL team that comes here once every 6 years. Plus being able to watch him on TV more. Even though I have MLB TV I rarely will watch the late games.

    Man the NFL is terrible, so many guys are getting hurt its ridiculous. The NBA is going to become the top league pretty soon and hopefully MLB passes them too.

    Its more like having the restaurant bringing in all of these special foods specifically for you to have and then you sit down and say well I'm Vegan so I'll just have a caeser salad. They spent all of these resources trying to cater to you but then you deciding you weren't going to go there no matter how good the presentation was.

    Apparently they produced a video highlighting Toronto which they were planning to show him in a presentation and booked with an agency who would take him around Toronto showcasing the city etc.. If he wasn't ever going to go to the east coast why would he even have clubs spend the time and effort to go to the lengths they did to try to recruit him. I bet those FO aren't exactly pleased with him when they could have spent their resources on other projects.

    Agreed. Can throw in Bruno as a lottery ticket too but he's basically worth nothing at this point. If FVV instead of Delon gets you a better player I'd do it as well. Speaking of which is how does his Free Agency work this offseason? Is it like Powell where he can sign for whatever up to 4/44? I'd trade JV or Ibaka with that 2nd rounder just to get rid of their contracts at this point. Ibaka is a better fit than JV but he's just no where near the player he was.

    Well didn't take long for Stroman to have beef with another local media member. Jeff Blair is an idiot for writing about it but he is right about the whole thing.

    I wouldn't want to trade that much for a rental. Sucks that we can't trade any 1sts until next year. JV really needs to be traded as he just doesn't fit the team at all. Ibaka can basically only play the 5 now which doesn't help either.

    Interesting that every finalist team has their Spring Training Facilities in Arizona, not Florida. So maybe it isn't just about where the MLB team is located..

    San Fran isn't a small market lol. So that basically leaves the Mariners.

    Sounds like Giants and Mariners are top teams right now.

    It will be amazing to see Ohtani's first ever game in MLB live since the Yankees open the season in Toronto. After that it will suck for the next 6+ years when he kills the Jays.

    Does Archer go on a tantrum and "like" tweets talking s*** about broadcasters and get in verbal attacks with the media? (I'm asking since I don't really follow Archer too much)

    Buerhle was great because he also kept Stroman in line when he was here which a lot of people seem to forget. As soon as he left and Price left Stroman has gone over the top since there really isn't a Veteren in the rotation to keep in check. I used to love watching him pitch and still do but the act has gotten really tiresome. Still, at the end of the day if he pitches like he did last year I'll take whatever comes along with it.
