  1. Wonder if the Rockies would just release him.
  2. if she wanted to "cash out" she could just divorce him and get half lol
  3. Knicks pick probably won't be as high as everyone thought coming into the season. Maybe in the 13-17 range.
  4. Well I'm not betting $50 to wait 3 years from now lol. Why are we prorating to 600 PA when he hasn't accomplished that once in his career? I'll bet you $50 that he will be under 3 fWAR next year.
  5. Yeah I remember reading that. But even looking at DRS Goins grades much better this year. Inside Edge looks to give Goins a higher grade on the routine/likely plays while Hech is better making the even/unlikely plays. They're probably pretty close but I wouldn't say definitely one is better than the other.
  6. looks like mr. vocabulary has made an appearance.
  7. I don't think there is enough evidence to say Hech is a better infielder than Goins defensively. UZR and DRS like Goins much more over the last 3 years.
  8. Should of just read this so you didn't have to waste all that time typing that.
  9. AA predicts no one accepts the QO and that players will sign earlier than usual. Interesting as you never hear him say anything lol.
  10. He hasn't had one season with 600PA so not sure why we would be using that number. I'll bet $50 he is under 3 WAR this year.
  11. Peak level for defense is 23-25 IIRC. I'll take the under on that bet right now.
  12. Just look at Lacava's comments. They aren't going to trade established players from their Major league Roster.
  13. In his career up to that point it was -2.2. Still not a good hitter so I don't think teams are going to be fooled by his defensive metrics being extremely high in one season. Still has value but now that he is in arb. I don't think its all that high.
  14. Isn't the first time either... Hopefully SN gives Barry a permanent vacation.
  15. I would say Carrasco has more injury risk that the typical pitcher. Already had TJS and missed games last year with a sore shoulder.
  16. Forgot about him. I don't think he's that valuable though. Below average hitter who by the numbers has had 1 great defensive season in 3 years. Seems pretty similar to Goins with a little better bat.
  17. They probably think Carrasco is at his peak value. There are real injury concerns with him and if they don't think they will win the division this year maybe they try to be better in 2017. Brantley is out 5-6 months IIRC so maybe they factor that into their decision making.
  18. I'd say the Mets are the better comparison with the pitching staff. Blue Jays really didn't have any star position players besides d'Arnaud. There was Lawrie and Marisnick but they never developed (at least not yet).
  19. Buehrle to the Cardinals in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....
  20. I'd tend to agree but even as a 75$ asset I can't see someone offering a trade for him.
  21. 6/15 teams really isn't that good lol. If payroll remains around the same this year it will likely be average when comparing other teams.
  22. Do people actually trust the legal system to determine if someone is actual guilty or not? Look no further than the recent Greg Hardy story... Don't know the numbers but isn't it like 80% of domestic abuse/sexual assault go unreported and only like 10%? get convicted if an arresst is even made? Why would Reyes's wife lie about him choking her into a glass door? In the end it would be her family who loses as Reyes will be suspended without pay.
  23. Say Pillar is roughly a 3 WAR player for the next 5 years in which he gets paid something like 6-10-14 in arbitration. ( Numbers probably will be off but for argument's sake using round numbers) So you are getting around 15 Wins for 30 Million. At 8 million/WAR that is a $110 Million asset. Even if the numbers are off a little who is giving up a $100 million asset for Pillar? Thats why I can't see him getting traded IMO and because he fills a hole on the team.
