  1. Yeah those look bad but I don't think that outweighs all the other great moves he has made. People around the game think he is really smart so I'll defer to them.
  2. Thing is Osuna has already had TJS so the risk is much higher than Sale. Very few players are effective after 2 TJS. I like Osuna's 3 pitches but the thing I worry about is the HR ball. He gave up a lot of HRs in the minors and is an extreme flyball pitcher. With him throwing less hard as a starter the HRs will likely increase as well.
  3. I doubt it. My feeling is Masai doesn't want him but he knows how much of a "Raptor" he is and how much teammates like him so he is just going to let him get to FA. My guess is he will try to sign another player and then tell Demar there isn't enough cap space to sign him lol.
  4. All I ask is for Derozan to be traded and replace Casey with a good coach.
  5. Yup.
  6. Derozan is such a disaster on both sides of the ball.
  7. These last few possessions are painful to watch. Awful basketball on both sides.
  8. Jeez Derozan takes just awful shots.
  9. Over/Under on Capps staying healthy with that delivery 1.5 years.
  10. Could he? Sure. But I think its more likely than not he doesn't turn into a successful starter. Already had TJS and his mechanics aren't the best.
  11. If the package revolved around Sanchez and Osuna I would gladly make that trade. A JD-Freeman-Tulo middle of the order would be great even if JB and EE leave for FA.
  12. They probably know it has nothing to do with their potential earnings now. If they don't their agents should tell them.
  13. If everyone is healthy Pillar should be hitting 9th. Crazy to think the Jays could actually have a lineup where all 9 hitters are above average.
  14. WAR can be misleading with relievers. It shouldn't be a huge factor in how good you think that player is. The reason Kimbrel's WAR was lower than past years was because he had less high leverage/save opportunities. I think it was Jeff Sullivan who posted a recent article about how closer's are actually more valuable to a team's win/loss record than WAR illustrates.
  15. do people not realize most baseball players understand little about sabermetrics? A lot of players are still about them Wins, RBIS and Batting Average.
  16. Honestly have no idea but if I had to guess maybe Alford, Sanchez and a lower level prospect with upside? Not really sure what Cincy is looking for and if they were willing to include cash. Even though I'd love Votto on the team I think the cost will be too much.
  17. He probably already explored deals and since no one offered him a good deal he accepted the QO. Also there aren't really any contending teams in need of a C who would want to waste a draft pick on him.
  18. I think they'll still be able to get some good prospects. Votto is a top 5 hitter in all of baseball and even with the contract some team will give up a premium just to get the bat.
  19. I think the market for elite relievers is a lot higher than what people think. Chapman is going to cost a lot even if he has 1 year left on the contract.
  20. Dodgers will have one of if not the best rotations if they bring back Greinke. Top end starters +great depth to cover the injury prone guys Kershaw Greinke Wood Ryu Anderson Bolsinger McCarthy Urias
  21. Thats why I said I don't think they will trade him.
  22. Free up the salary to spend elsewhere. I don't expect them to trade him, just wishful thinking as I really think he would be a good fit in Toronto.
  23. Oh god... This is going to open up the floodgates.
