  1. Russell Martin should be traded for that play alone. What a f***ing joke.
  2. If the Jays need a lefty late in the game, Price will be in. There's no question about that. He won't pitch a lot, but he'll be the LOOGY.
  3. Price has a shitload of mileage on his arm, is in his 30's, and will get at least a seven year deal starting at $200m. I don't agree with the way the Jays used him yesterday, but who cares if he leaves after the season? His next contract has very little chance of being worth it for the team that signs him.
  4. Yes it does appear like Gibbons wanted to start Stroman in Game 5 but didn't want any controversy with Price, so he used Price in Gane 4, giving him an out to go with Stroman in 5. That's the only thing I can think of. Otherwise bringing Price in during a 7-1 game in the 5th when the starter was doing well makes no bleeping sense.
  5. The Jays were leading 7-1 and Dickey was pitching well. Gibbons did not avoid a disaster. He made an absolutely pointless move and cost his starter a win (which means something to him I'm sure), all while not increasing the teams odds of winning that particular game. It was Ned Yost levels of stupid.
  6. The look that most of us have when trying to find logic in John Gibbons decision making.
  7. Wow. Dickey pitched well. He at least deserved a chance to get the W in a 6 run game. Gibbons is gone full on Ned Yost here.
  8. Dickey's given up 4 singles and 0 walks, and the run was scored on a wild pitch. He's been fine.
  9. Because the Royals win with Escobar leading off. That was Ned's actual reasoning, I believe.
  10. That's my guess. He will piggyback Price after Dickey to get by Game 4 and then if they succeed go with Stroman for Game 5. We'll see if it works.
  11. Nicely done Sanchez. Save Price for tomorrow, Gibby.
  12. Price is replacing Cecil for the rest of this series. That's the only thing I can possibly think of, and it's stupid as hell.
  13. Even Harold Reynolds is questioning Gibbons. Gibby did something so stupid that even Reynolds is questioning it and is absolutely right in doing so.
  14. With Price coming out of the pen, and Dickey starting tomorrow, have to wonder if Price is 100%. Why wouldn't they want him pitching game 4 in a do or die?
  15. I don't think we'll see Price here unless s*** really unravels.
  16. Bautista is a poor defensive outfielder. Nothing new to see. Now we have to count on Aaron Loup and whatever it left of the pen after Cecil's season is done. Time to pray.
  17. Texas is winning this game. This is the worst amount of luck I have seen in a while. It has to be fate.
  18. Don't have a good feeling about this one. Hitters still not looking good.
  19. Yeah, it's a shame the Jays had to bat with the roof closed, while the Rangers got to bat with it open. Wait, they both played under the same conditions? Then what the hell are we talking about???
  20. If Alex is still the GM, then there's a better chance of Gibbons being extended than there is of him being let go. I'm still hoping Shapiro hires his own guy and they start to make systematic changes to the organization from top to bottom, but that might be a pipe dream at this point.
