  1. My man Osuna!!! Great f***ing win!
  2. Appreciate my reverse psychology rather than hate on it.
  3. Tulo can't buy a hit to save his life.
  4. It isn't a blowout, so no need to use Lowe. / Gibby
  5. Yeah, Sabathia's been pretty bad this season as his FIP has climbed to around 4.70 prior to today's game where he could barely touch 90 on the gun. It wouldn't shock me if Adam Warren was an upgrade at this point.
  6. Yep, Yankees lose their worst starter and likely give more starts to their good ones now. We need CC healthy.
  7. Sabathia's fastball barely touching 90 and giving up hard contact. I don't trust Bauer on the mound, though. Why couldn't Kluber be starting today?
  8. Not a fan of Thole, but it only makes sense to have him catch Dickey with Martin hurting.
  9. He will get another GM job. He acquired Donaldson, Martin, Travis, Price, Tulo, etc, in a span of 9 months. It's perfect timing for him to be a free agent.
  10. Bourne and Swisher were not signed by Shapiro. At least he wasn't the GM at the time.
  11. If AA leaves, he will get another GM job before the 2016 season. This past winter and trade deadline saved him. If he was on the market after 2014, then he may have had to wait a bit before getting his next shot, but if he leaves after 2015, then he will find work pretty easily. No way he sticks around if Shapiro gets the job. As far as restocking the system quickly, wasn't that in large part because of the prior draft rules that got changed? Without type B free agency and an unlimited draft budget, have the Jays really been all that great at drafting the past couple of years? It will take AA much longer to fix the farm system now than it did in 2010-13.

  13. Alex is a free agent. He can go elsewhere if he wants to as well, and I'm sure he'll have interested teams willing to hire him. I can't see them hiring an established guy like Shapiro and then forcing him to keep the free agent GM. Shapiro probably has his own guys in mind.
  14. Yep, and if Alex goes, Gibbons follows. Shapiro destroying the current front office/management and reloading with younger/brighter minds would be awesome. No more old school s***. Get with the times.
  15. Wow, the Yankees actually lost! Nice.
  16. Runners in scoring position with 2 out, Yanks down by 1. Insert predictable walk off here.
  17. This is New York's year.
  18. Upgrade over Beeston, and I would trust Shapiro to build a more saber-friendly front office than Beeston did (who was trapped somewhere between the 70's and 80's).
  19. Run differential shows that they are grossly underachieving. Doesn't mean they should have the same record as their run difference indicates. When you use inferior talent in place of superior talent, that will cost you games. He's done that all season, especially with the bullpen. That's not debatable. His 2nd best reliever this season is now a mop up guy. One of his other good relievers is barely used (Lowe). All while Schultz, Tepera, Castro, Loup, etc, have gotten turns as high leverage relievers at points in the season. I mean, come on.
  20. I'm not saying the team should have the same record as their expected total. I'm saying he has cost the team games with his decision making enough to where bad luck is on par with incompetence.
  21. They are 16-4 in their last 20 games and still trail the Yankees by 2. The Wild Card was always the stronger possibility. The Jays just made the ALE race closer than it had any right to be. The games lost early in the season due to bad pitching, managing, etc, hurt their chances of winning the division.
  22. Schultz's ERA is deceiving. He's not good. The fact that Gibbons was using him as the set-up man was more an indictment of how stupid Gibbons is, not how good Schultz was doing. Gibbons hasn't been able to tell the difference between good players and bad players all season. You guys can brush it off as no big deal, but it is a big deal. It has cost the team many games. They'll have close to a 100 win pythag and will be lucky to win 88 in reality. He's been a very bad manager, which isn't his fault since we knew that about him in 2008.
  23. No one is blaming the loss in Gibbons, but when you use your worst reliever in a 4-2 game and then bring in two of your better ones when the game is out of hand, then it's worth criticizing. That's just a bad use of the bullpen. Probability in baseball is actually a thing.
