I like how the Jays don't swing at borderline pitches and then get pissed off when they've been called strikes for 11 f***ing innings. The ump sucks. We get it. Start swinging a bit more.

What Gibbons did wrong was starting the inning with Stroman. Cecil can handle righties. No need to play the match-ups there. If they wanted Stro to get a standing O, do it in the last inning.

Tulo swings at a ball so out of the strike zone that even this ump would have called it a ball, and now Martin swings 3-0 and hits a lazy ground ball. This team has had a frustrating day.

Bautista's non-catch was horrendous. I know he ran into the wall but he's so unreliable on defense that it's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. Goins' play looked more difficult based on the bounce.

Yeah I don't think they have any intention of starting Dickey in this series. Whether the Jays are up 2-1 or down 2-1, it will be Price and Stroman in the final two games (assuming it goes that far of course). f*** it, the Jays will win today. I was sensing a loss yesterday since Gallardo can walk 10 while striking out none and still give up 2 runs or fewer against this team for some reason, but I think we can take Hamels.

The guy who was benched all September last season in favor of Anthony Gose is having a pretty good playoffs so far for the Astros.

I don't know why people think this is a big deal. Texas had to play under the same conditions as the Jays, and they aren't even used to it like the Jays are. Open, closed, whatever. Just go out there and win.

If Price was healthy and they decided to give him 11 days of rest in between starts, then yeah, someone should be held accountable for that. I don't think the Jays purposely tanked games to face Texas. I just don't think they cared who they faced and decided rest was more important. If it comes back to bite them on the ass, then it honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Gallardo and Ubaldo are two guys who can stink and still put up a good line against the Jays. I feared Gallardo more than Hamels. He's so mediocre but somehow throws junk that the Jays can't hit.

Or don't give your starters 11 days in between starts. I think the Jays win tomorrow, but I don't trust games 3, 4, and 5. Say what you want about Price's playoff numbers, flukey or not, but he can't be counted on to go all Mad Bum for us. Jays need Stroman and one of Dickey/Estrada to carry us.

I'll miss the first hour of the game due to work, but since Price is the pitching, that probably amounts to an inning and a third (that's a Price pitches mad slow joke). Can't wait. Price needs to follow the lead of Keuchel and Arrieta. Aces need to be aces.

Gibbons having more faith in Estrada than Dickey is weird. Maybe he wants to avoid having Martin catch the Dickster if he can.

Cecil's amount is way off but the others seem reasonable. Revere based on health is probably a better player and bet than Saunders going forward. I'd non-tender Saunders. -

This was Dickey's best season as a Blue Jay. His turnaround from June onwards was huge. -
The Jays are loaded with superstars but still get the s***** timeslots. Major League Baseball does not know how to market superstars. If they did, Fox/ESPN/etc would know how to feature them. Counting on U.S. markets to draw ratings hasn't worked in years since interest around the country is down. In the NBA, LeBron could play in Toronto and those games would be the highest rated in the U.S. The NBA does it right. Baseball is so far behind.
