  1. Starting Dickey against KC will definitely help Price against the Twins.
  2. Wow, clutch six innings from Dickey on short rest. Don't f*** this up, bullpen.
  3. Pillar needed to drive EE in with less than 2 outs there. Too bad.
  4. Hearing Jay-Z on the speakers now has a negative connotation since it means Goins is batting.
  5. Colabello did not agree with the called strike that was right down the middle of the plate. Come back, Valencia.
  6. I recall reading that Price gets an additional start against the Yankees if they pitch him tomorrow instead of today. I agree though, every win matters. If we blow today's game because of Dickey on short rest, then it is still an L regardless of how many starts Price gets against the Yankees later. Can't afford any losses at this point.
  7. Before the Tulo and Price trades, I would have been fine with the Jays missing the playoffs, firing AA/Gibbons, and retooling for 2016. Now I have to root for them to win this year because lord knows how many years it will take them to be good again after this.
  8. Best overall talent since the WS days, and Gibbons will f*** it up. I think only once Gibbons is fired will people realize how much of a wasted opportunity this was. He wasted JPR's best years, and he'll do the same for AA. Just have to hope the next GM is not an internal hire, because lord knows after another 3-4 years of rebuilding, Gibbons will be hired again because he's a funny redneck who makes jokes. At this point, I might take a different stance though. When AA said he left the roster decisions to Gibbons, and decided Valencia's fate based on that, I knew I was directing my anger at the wrong man. Gibbons is a moron, but all he did was say yes when a bigger moron offered him a job he had no business doing. Gibbons has made good teams underachieve for years. That's what he does. If the GM not only keeps him around but also makes roster decisions based on his input, then the GM is at fault.
  9. Alex doesn't win regardless. He either made a stupid decision that he let an idiot decide for him, or he made the stupid decision himself. He doesn't look good in either scenario. The only reason I said it's on AA is because Gibbons called Revere a platoon player less than 24 hours ago and then Valencia is gone. Now AA admits that the decision to use Revere everyday was something they decided on later and Gibby picked between Valencia and Colabello. I could see Gibbons making a stupid decision like that, as like I said he doesn't look at defense at all, but then that leads back to why did AA have to listen to him? I'm absolving Gibbons of all blame here. You can't hand a gun to a chimp and then get mad when the chimp shoots someone. AA is 100% liable here.
  10. No issues with Revere playing everyday. Valencia against LHP would have been an improvement over Revere, but after 3 months of watching bad/stupid defenders in LF, I'm fine with Revere there everyday as long as he can catch the ball. But Valencia is still a better bench bat than Lolabello.
  11. Reyes is injury prone but never got a day off. Tulo comes in and gets a day off before he got to spend a week in a Jays uni. Was Gibby that scared of Reyes?
  12. It pains me to say this as a Gibbons hater, but I think it's AA who is being untruthful here. Gibbons doesn't give two shits about defense, never has. He'll put anyone in the field if he feels it will improve the lineup. This was an AA move all the way around.
  13. Valencia going to the Yankees would almost be poetic justice at this point.
  14. AA rarely ever throws anyone under the bus. The fact that he's directly linking this move to Gibbons is surprising. Either he knows it's stupid and is blaming someone else for it, or he's being truthful, in which case he's an idiot for listening to a bigger idiot.
  15. Tulo is probably 0-1 with a K lifetime against Ventura and Gibbons wanted to play the odds.
  16. AA knows this move sucks because he immediately blamed Gibbons for it.
  17. Wow, why Valencia over Colabello? That's nuts. Bello sucks. Valencia can at least play a few positions without looking like a toddler on the field.
  18. Not bad. I was expecting worse with the Lowe and Revere trades, but pretty much gave up depth pieces. Nice moves to round out the roster.
  19. I take back my initial overreaction. I'm not familiar with Wells' upside, but the package doesn't seem that big of a deal. I'll transfer my rage to the impending Revere trade.
  20. The Jays just gave up six prospects for a two month rental and a guy in his 30's with $100m left on his contract. Sure, I'll wait for the names, but you're expecting anything other than an overpayment?
  21. AA is so trash. Three minor leaguers for a f***ing reliever when the pen looks the best it has all season?
  22. Is pushing Price back to Monday going to give him more starts against the Yankees? Dickey on short rest scares me.
  23. Osuna, Lowe, Sanchez, Cecil, Hawkins, Hendriks.....damn, even Gibbons can't f*** that up.
