I like the approach of swinging when Madson can't find the strike zone, but taking pitches right down the middle with Volquez.
This game was absolute ass. Move on to Game 2, please.
Hendriks had the highest WAR of any reliever on the team this year and he's behind LaTroy Hawkins on the depth chart. I can't wrap by head around that.
Osuna likes the bullpen and Sanchez likes starting, but both are better doing the opposite of what they like.
The problem with Osuna is the jump in innings next year as a starter. Can his arm handle it?
Jays never had a problem developing talent under Ash and appear to be even better at developing talent under AA.
Don't let a decade of JP Ricciardi drafts cloud reality. The Jays develop talent, either internally or in trades. They just didn't do so when Ricciardi was drafting 24-year DH's with no power in the first round.
I didn't agree with the Price decision, but starting Stroman was a good call, and his pen use was good otherwise as well.
I need to shower now having praised John Gibbons.
The ball hit off Choo's bat and went behind Martin. Odor would have scored easily, unless Donaldson was playing defense behind home plate for some reason.
The question is whether the umpire's should have kept the original call or not. Choo did not interfere. It is what it is. But that's Martin's fault.
Even if the defense didn't stop, Odor would have scored.
What the hell are people arguing here? Choo was in the box and Martin threw it back to Sanchez without even paying attention. That's on him.
This is the 2nd ball Martin has thrown away that has lead to a run.
Can't believe someone that good can make mistakes so stupid. Just f***ing stand up and throw it back to Sanchez. Holy s*** what a stupid play.
