  1. The O's are 7-2 against the Jays this season. Against everyone else, they are 18-20. We made those bastards look way better than they are.
  2. This definitely feels like one of those games.....
  3. Just chiming in to say Zeke is a POS ball player. Pearce better play every f***ing day in left when he gets back.
  4. Nice positioning. Having a lead after 5 with Bolsinger gone is a relief. Dude was throwing s*** all game. Hope he never has to start again.
  5. Don't know why Loup was warming up if he wasn't going to face Odor in that spot. Why save him for Gallo when he would have faced Gallo anyway?
  6. Dwight Smith Jr. should be playing LF for the Jays while Pearce is out. Or Coghlan. Zeke had his hot streak, and now he's turning back into trash.
  7. AJ Burnett started for the Rangers tonight. Didn't know that, Buck.
  8. Justin Smoak turning into a good player is awesome to see.
  9. Man, if Bolsinger can get through five with the lead, then count your damn blessings. Meatballs for everyone.
  10. Gibby won't play Coghlan over Zeke, even though he should.
  11. If the Jays can keep winning while Zeke stinks it up, that's the best case. By the time Pearce gets back, Gibby might actually play him everyday rather than throw his golden boy out there.
  12. Man I joked about bringing Osuna in, but Grilli is probably the last guy I would have used. Hope he can bounce back today.
  13. We live in a world where I see Morales playing over Smoak in an NL park and I'm disappointed. Never expected that before the season.
  14. Yeah, they either need to be out of it, or right in the thick of it. A .500 record where they are within 4-5 games of a playoff spot with a number of teams to pass is a terrible place to be.
  15. Retool: take another stab at contending in 2018, then deal with the consequences after that if JD walks (or extend him) Rebuild: Trade JD now and starting stripping the roster of vets in order to start a long-term rebuild In theory, I think the rebuild makes more sense mainly because I don't think the prospects will be ready to take over in 2019 if JD left, but this is Rogers we are talking about. They can sell hope and .500 finishes or see attendance/revenue plummet for a number of years with a rebuild. I know which direction they'd rather go.
  16. I'm expecting a retool over a rebuild. Along the lines of what Cashman did for the Yankees last year. I wouldn't mind a rebuild, but don't see this ownership agreeing to it. We will probably see a retool where they get assets back for their impending free agents (Estrada, Jose if he agrees, Smith, Liriano), and then taking another stab at it next year.
  17. Ah, forgot about the "can't offer the QO twice" rule in the CBA. That's makes the decision even easier. If the Jays are out of it, then move Acetrada ASAP. Then try to re-sign him in the winter.
  18. Trade Estrada and then try to re-sign him in the winter (if the Jays are out of it). Seems pretty cut and dry. The QO isn't going to scare teams off anymore, and what's the compensation now for losing a qualified FA? A 3rd rounder? No point keeping him if the season looks lost by July.
