  1. I'm expecting Frazier for Stroman, so I can't possibly be disappointed when my expectation is as low as it is.
  2. Well there was a rumor that Shapiro "scolded" AA in 2015 for trading so many prospects away for a one year window, so if anything, I would think any bad blood would come from AA, not from the Jays. Not that I think either side would avoid trading with each other. If both teams' needs are met by trading with each other I'm sure it wouldn't be a big deal, but I don't see why the Jays would care at all. Unless Rogers holds a grudge for him turning down their offer or something petty like that. Regardless, yes, let's get some damn trades happening.
  3. I'm going to miss Stroman.
  4. Wish Aaron Boone was in the Jays dugout tonight.
  5. Hopefully this is Stro's last inning.
  6. Agreed. The injury probably altered some plans, but the longer they wait, the less sense it makes to call him up. Lose 2026 to get 8 weeks in 2019? Doesn't make a lot of sense.
  7. This was my first thought. After 3 days in a row with Giles, I hope Montoyo isn't going to let him go for the CGSO and rack up a high pitch count. He's at 70 after 5, but have to be smart here.
  8. I can't see the embedded Tweet anymore either, so maybe he took it down. He tweeted in 2016 basically saying f*** Aroldis Chapman and that he wasn't a fan of domestic violence. He must have been somewhat of a fan of it, apparently.
  9. I don't care if they trade him to the Yankees, just please get something good (not Frazier....unless he's the 2nd or 3rd best piece in the deal). I actually think Stro to the Yanks would be good for baseball. If Stro was an NBA or NFL player he'd be a big star with his personality. He'd fit well in NY.
  10. It's a Morosi tweet, so it's clickbait with no semblance of truth to it.
  11. Well, that didn't age well.
  12. I think people expecting anything in return for Galvis or Sogard are going to be very disappointed. Even a low A ball lottery ticket is asking a lot. More likely looking at a Waguespack type.
  13. Am I missing something with Kingham that everyone else is apparently seeing?
  14. Yeah Pillar since the trade is pretty much the same guy he's always been except with worse defence (to be expected with age). Still going to end up being a 1 WAR player, give or take. Hasn't completely fallen off a cliff yet.
  15. Is it wrong that I am rooting for Sanchez to lose 20 games this year? Not like he’s a trade asset, closer to a DFA/non tender candidate. Might as well get some entertainment seeing his big ego get deflated like that.
  16. Hopefully Giles is healthy enough to pitch tomorrow and Friday.
  17. Bo with 2 home runs today (game still not over). He mad.
  18. Looking at Font's numbers, why am I not surprised that the only time he was ever any good was with the Rays, and then sucked again immediately after he went somewhere else? God I hate the Rays. But yeah, Font can't hurt.
  19. They hired a sleazebag agent as their GM. They deserve everything they are getting.
  20. I would think the Twins would be more likely to trade Larnach and Balazovic, not Kirilloff and Graterol, but if I'm packaging Stro/Giles together, then the latter would have to be it. I still think Atkins trades them separately, but with Giles' injury, maybe combining the two would be better than trading them individually. Teams might be reluctant to trade for Giles alone given his injury, but packaged with Stroman they might be more willing to take that risk.
  21. I think Hudson will get dealt for a Waguespack/Espinal equivalent. Nothing worth getting excited over but depth to add to the farm.
  22. It's an odd numbered year, so Pearce being injured, sucking, or both was inevitable. He'll be great next year.
  23. Yup we are setting ourselves up to be disappointed, but blame The Athletic.
  24. Yeah I don't like Clint, but I think I'd be ok with that trade, although it would be even better if we flipped Frazier to a 3rd team for something + keep Garcia.
