Ideally you get those two plus one of the FA arms that have been discussed before (Keuchel, Pineda, etc), but I can see why both might be overkill. Gausman isn't a difference maker and Walker hasn't pitched in 2 years, so there is a lot of uncertainty there to add to the injury risks associated with Shoemaker/Borucki. Gausman might make more sense for that reason (more likely to eat up better than league average innings and previous success in the AL East) than Walker, though Gausman's market might be busier for that reason as well, so Walker is probably a more likely/realistic sign.
