    Yeah somewhere around 3/37 to 4/45 should work. Everyone else got 12.5 x 4 maybe 12.5 x 3 works by now. The need for him isn't going away.

    Is a 4th year that much a deal breaker? After 2015 the Jays have an option for Dickey and otherwise nothing, so its not like we are over committed long-term to too many SP. Likely the team is rebuilding big time at that point (its after the 3 winning window proposed by AA - year 1 didn't work out well). So sure we wont need him but having him stick around an extra year isn't going to cause any problems and if he is actually good in the mean time he becomes a trade asset.

    Gose will have plenty of playing time on this team replacing Rajai Davis as the 4th OF, who was getting 300-400 ABs a year.

    People seem quick to jump on Sierra's jockstrap. He played more in winter than most players shouldn't be surprising that he has better early timing.

    What would the stats have said for Edwin and Joey Bats, they both broke out at the age of 29 and it was more than just a lucky stretch. Hopefully the streak continues. Seems Navarro has the potential to be an Above Average Bat with average defence, that's pretty good. Especially if paired with a Kratz who can provide above average defence and perhaps average bat in select situations (vs Leftys?)

    It's somewhat amazing how much better we are projected to be as a result of doing almost nothing this off season. Speaks to how terrible last year was. We could have easily been #2 on the list with 1-2 more moves.

    We have no long-term OF depth at all if we trade either Gose or Pillar, would prefer to deal from our strength at RP. If I was them I'd want Delebar or Cecil who are good, cheap, and controllable. If I was AA I'd try to move Santos and add a prospect. I'm beginning to give up on this off season though.

    Garza I think is the best, most proven, and most consistent. I can only assum he passed his medicals.

    The market has spoken, 4 years and 50ish mil is what a middle of the rotation guy is worth. So which one would you take?

    I would say Dickey and Morrow are both 2/3's if healthy. But I don't view MB as a 3 at all, he is a solid 4. So we have: 2 or 3 2 or 3 4 5 5 This is clearly a below average starting rotation and its not even close to average. Is it better than even 5 other rotations? I don't see how the Jays can seriously hope to contend for playoffs with that rotation. I guess the only hope is we have an extremely luck season where everyone pitches above their heads and one of the young guys emerges (Stroman, Hutch, Drabek) or a surprise like McGowan or Romero. A miracle come back from McGowan/Romero and a RoY type season from a young guy and we'll be good... I wont hold my breath waiting for this to happen.

    Aaron Hill would fit nicely on this team. Seemed like a quiet hard working guy who just played fundamentally good baseball. It seemed he mentally need to move on from this team, wish he would have stuck it out.

    I don't, when comparing them to other professional athletes they generate the most media content. Not sure on what grounds they would deserve less share of that then any other league.
