Clearly none of the 3 should be starting options, they are no more than subs and at this point its not even known if they are adequate for subs. All three defensively should be good at 2b its all about who is the least inadequate with the bat. Which is probably Kawasaki at this point. Atleast he is a vet who can take walks, bunt, and put the ball in play.
It would be great if we signed Drew to a 1 yr 10 mil deal in June after the draft pick comp is off. It would only happen if we are still in the hunt of course but its looking like NYY is as predicted, old with spotty SP, Baltimore spotty SP, and Boston struggling to replace the run production they've lost to FA/Injuries. The Blue Jays have been as advertised as well with inconsistent starting pitching. It remains to be seen which team starts clicking and puts on a run and pulls away from the pack. That will likely be Tampa but who knows could be any of the 5. If it is the Jays they should investment the money in Drew come June. The wait and see approach doesn't really make sense considering the state the team is in and how desperate AA should be to win but whatever, it is what it is, likely easier to convince Rogers of the investment if interest is up.
