  1. Should boycott GotStyle also, they are using Travis for promotional purposes but wont comp the suit? Sleazy.
  2. Yes a 7 year deal is stupid, but it is what he will get. CC Sabathia situation.
  3. Not a chance, too many games behind to few games left to play. Better luck next year.
  4. Should be the best offence again next year, with above average defense. The other nice thing is it requires no moves at all. Pitching is the only issue to be addressed in the off season.
  5. That is up the Padres, will depend on what the Yankees are offering. That is, if the Yankees are willing to eat all the salary then the Jays will have to also, or add prospects.
  6. So if someone like Shields is traded through waivers to the Yankees, do the Jays put a claim in and block the deal?
  7. Too much for a rental, I'm sure the same package plus a little could have gotten a quality arm with term.
  8. Price every 4 days from here on out?
  9. Yes, the Price is right.
  10. Tulo with his high OBP should be htting 1st or 2nd. Just trade out Reyes for Tulo.
  11. Our new SS, Mattingly Romanin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftlYyqBDRnU
  12. Donaldson is having a MVP year, and still 3 years of control after this one. He could easily be flipped for even bigger return than what we gave up. His value has gone up, while Lawrie's is going down each day he proves he is nothing but an average player.
  13. To be honest I am pleasantly surprised that Gibby is clearing throwing Castro and Osuna into the deep end and using them for high leverage situations. This type of usage actually justifies having them with the team. Managing the bullpen is a bit like poker, sometimes you make the right decision and still take a bad beat on the river. Can't always judge by the result.
  14. Hutch has hit 94 a few times. For the most part he is hitting his spots.
  15. With 6 prospects making the team this year, who's left of note?
  16. quit freaking out you maniac!!
  17. He just jinxed himself, he will definitely trade for a catcher sometime this year.
  18. Wilner lock himself in the woman's bathroom again?
  19. Agreed, just look at the kids for the local CHL team. Yes some are still baby faced, but at least half a dozen can buy beer without getting ID'd.
  20. After years of discussion it looks like the Jays are finally taking the first step towards grass in the sky dome... https://www.uoguelph.ca/cpa/wp/2015/02/u-of-g-to-help-blue-jays-bring-natural-grass-to-rogers-centre/ No real commitment or decision yet, but they are moving closer.
  21. This makes McGowan's option look reasonable.
  22. Shields would be a great add to the rotation. I'd prefer to have Sanchez/Norris start in AAA as depth who, if dominating, can come into the bullpen in the 2nd half if they aren't already up as an injury replacement. Dickey/Stroman/Shields/MB/Hutch is the best rotation in the division. I'm confident that AA will throw enough poo (waiver pickups, Delebar, etc.) at the bullpen that something will stick and be good enough.
  23. I would be extremely surprised to see such a significant signing. More likely one of the bullpen guys they've been linked too signs.
