This team has been "on the verge" for the better part of the last 21 years only to continue to spin its wheels in mediocrity. At some point, we need to see results before giving the people in charge the benefit of the doubt.
You mean like when he gutted it in order to bring in a bunch of overrated, overpaid veterans and still miss the playoffs? And people really trust him not to panic and do that again?
Again, it's great and all that we have a good farm system again and money coming off the books. But when the franchise is still saddled with tightwad ownership, a dumbass team president, and a mediocre-at-best general manager, why exactly should we have blind faith that it's actually going to work out for us? If we had Theo in the front office and the Dodgers' ownership, then yeah, I'd understand the blind optimism.... but not with the current head honchos and their track record.
