  1. Treadmill team is treadmilling, as I've said all along. Relying on fools' gold like DeChuck DeIso is a recipe for a first round exit. Should have blown it up and tanked for a real star years ago.
  2. New strategy: have Ed Rogers offer Beeston's job to Ben Cherington, Matt Silverman and Brian Cashman. Just hand us the division title now.
  3. Only downside to this is another year of that tired old ******* Beeston. But the Orioles facing the double-whammy of getting zero, zip, nada out of us AND their GM being disgruntled and wanting out is amazing. Love it!
  4. Selling the team to owners who actually give a s*** about baseball would be a great start.
  5. Give it up already. You're not getting a top prospect for a disgruntled employee who wants out. Enjoy your dysfunctional franchise's return to the basement, because it's coming.
  6. When this is the clueless motherf***er who "owns" our team, I find it increasingly hard to believe that the playoff drought is ending anytime soon.
  7. Delusional. Orioles fans apparently haven't realized that there's plenty of other people out there who can do Beeston's job and we wouldn't have to trade any assets at all to hire them. You have no leverage and you're stuck with a GM who no longer wants to be anywhere near your franchise. Again, good luck with that. Peter Angelos still owns your franchise... need I say more. The Orioles are more well-known for making up or exaggerating injuries during physicals in order to weasel out of free agent offers when Angelos gets cold feet than for anything they do on the field. Your ass isn't a valid source.
  8. No s***, Sherlock. I hate Beeston as much as anybody, but trading a top prospect to a division rival for Dan f***ing Duquette would immediately ruin all of the goodwill from this offseason. At this point, I'm ready for the Jays to look elsewhere for someone we can just hire without giving up assets. Angelos can have fun with his disgruntled GM who wants nothing to do with his joke of a franchise.
  9. This... but personally, I think we need a legit starter in order to be in the playoff conversation.
  10. Welp, comeback season officially confirmed for Masterson now.
  11. Yes. Hell, I'd have changed it already but I'm lazy.
  12. Good riddance to that old, senile turd Beeston! This was long overdue! Hope we can land Duquette. It would be awesome to see the man who built the '94 Expos join the Jays in some capacity.
  13. ^ ESPN says there's a "mystery team" AND the Dodgers are involved, separately.
  14. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11975072/jon-lester-bidding-includes-fourth-team http://media.tumblr.com/9cdd056fcc690b0d05f1b7a0388b11ab/tumblr_inline_nfwzvbYwUi1s3qunm.gif
  15. I can't understand how this board can turn up their nose at Lester but drool over a playoff choker like Shields.
  16. Absolutely not in the fools' gold that is relief pitching, that's for sure. We need a bonafide starter. Lester pls.
  17. AA this offseason:
  18. I'm loving the fact that the dynamic douchebag duo (JPA and Lawrie) are both finally gone.
  19. I wonder if he demanded a trade behind the scenes. Would explain the mediocre return for the A's since they'd have had no leverage.
  20. ^ ESPN has probably offered him a job already.
  21. There's no polishing this turd for Beane... he got destroyed. Most overrated GM in the history of sports.
  22. Lester or Scherzer.
  23. Oakland's ownership is cheap and they're trying to salt the Earth so they can move out of the Bay Area.
