  1. Shocking that Jeter has turned the Marlins into the Yankees' farm team.
  2. Why couldn't the Indians choke against us like they do against everyone else?
  3. The only silver lining here is that hopefully the front office's minds have been made up on selling at the deadline. This team is garbage as presently constructed.
  4. Time to blow it up and tank. Hopefully Shapiro can work his magic again and build a team like the one he built in Cleveland.
  5. What on Earth was Rogers thinking? An all-red uniform for a team called the Blue Jays is just setting yourself up for mockery. Did they learn nothing from the Chargers' new logo?
  6. To answer the OP's question, no, Shapiro isn't. AA is the one who forced this team into "rebuild" mode by going all-in on a ton of aging vets, many of whom turned out to be useless, while depleting the farm system in the process. The two deep playoff runs were fun after 22 years of total irrelevance, but it was never sustainable and we always got exposed by better-built teams in the end. Unless you're the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, or Cubs, you can't just trade and buy your way to sustainable winning. It starts with the farm system. Always has, always will.
  7. Have you seen him in the playoffs?
  8. Price, Sale, Porcello and Wright are all headcases pitching in one of the most pressure-packed markets in baseball. Good luck with that, Red Sox.
  9. I can't get too excited because of the mixed track record of these Cuban defectors in the big leagues. It kind of reminds me of all the high-priced pitching prospects from Japan who went bust in the early-to-mid 2000s. But I'll trust in the front office and hope that Gurriel develops into a core player for us.
  10. As an American fan, I wish we had the option of Martinez and Vasgergian here in the States. Joe Buck and Smoltz were brutal all series. Every game was like a Cubs local broadcast. That was one of the biggest reasons why I was rooting for the Indians to win.
  11. Probably thinking of all the money he's about to make off his tell-all book and public appearances.
  12. Just an incredible play by Lindor.
  13. f*** the Cubs... win this s***, Indians!
  14. Come on Rajai, do something useful for once.
  15. Really hope Chapman chokes. We don't need a domestic abuser as the World Series hero.
  16. Gibbons would have found a way to not even make the World Series with this Cubs team. Let's be real now.
  17. Of course the Indians' defense magically goes to s*** as soon as they're no longer facing us.
  18. Why couldn't the Indians do this s*** against us?
  19. The Indians' pitching is just too stacked and too dominant. Don't see the Cubs pulling this series out at this point.
  20. Kluber with 8 SO's already. Nobody's ever done it in the first three innings of a World Series before.
  21. That announcer jinx... yikes. "Kluber is like Kershaw - when he gets 2 strikes, it's lights out." Cue Zobrist.
