  1. Name me a successful pitcher that doesn't get bailed out a time or two. Part of the game. He hasn't been anywhere near as bad as a lot of posters state...the issues for him are the expectations and prospect(still MLB unproven) cost of getting him, and his trick pitch which has little cred with some.
  2. That would be epic in our house of horrors going into break - one game at a time.
  3. Some good news....one day reprieve though. Likely RA vs Price Sunday. Hate to wish sick on anyone but Im down with a 48 hr + flu for Pricey.
  4. We will see if he goes Sunday.
  5. Solid move...extra work for the knuckler before the break after a solid last start. Ill take my chances with RA with 4 days rest over Happ.
  6. Get another one...be nice to not use Casey tonight if possible
  7. THAT was a serious meatball hangin slider....I cringed at it half way to the plate.
  8. Ya I guess, but I don't agree with it as the "low note" just came in in the name of Jenkins. RHH don't own Mark B Thank god for Melky making that catch.
  9. Seems odd taking Mark B out after 93 pitches.....quick 5th inning. Really hope nothing is wrong.
  10. Well you have been going on about how much you like ass play so maybe you can cram one up there?
  11. Can you please smarten up? Melky has been money all season.
  12. Man - overall you have to really admire the job Kawa has done. He sure as hell hasn't been part of our problem lately. Clutch hit
  13. hmmm.....new id....nothing but negative chippy comments = TROLL WHO WONT BE AROUND LONG.
  14. You might want to move over to xhamster, youporn, and red tube sites.
  15. wtf?!
  16. Last time we moved Jose to 3rd he got back issues and was clear he just wasn't as comfortable there. Ultimately that can mess with his O. It did with E5. Its doable but not worth the risk. If we get saddled with Reyes and cant move him Id like to see him moved to 2nd.
  17. Wouldn't call it a hang up but maybe I am sensitive to it. Had a nephew badly abused @ 8 years old. Guy went to prison. Kid is still messed up @ 21. I'm friends with Sheldon Kennedy who also wrote a book he might have made some money on but I personally see that him telling his story has helped tons of kids come forward and deal with this as well as raise awareness for the issues. I also see him do 99.9% of his work on their behalf for free still and countless service work. I wouldn't laugh at jokes about SK either or the issue. So I probably am overly sensitive. I'll keep that in mind. Back to baseball!
  18. Hey, if you think child molestation is a big yuk go for it Gibbers. I have no idea why someone having the guts to openly tell their story in a book (I guess the assumption is he told it only to make money?) makes it suddenly a joke worthy subject but whatever floats your boat.
  19. Ill leave that to mods on banning to decide (of which he is one) but it was the 2nd time, and both times a few of us called him on it. It was over the top and not an issue that's remotely humorous. Go after RA all you want - his pitching - the trade...whatever...but not that. it degraded a good debate/discussion Nuff said on it.
  20. Im not really concerned about selling hope to fans. They have to make good business decisions. I think there is a risk with our current injuries we cant tread water (hope Im wrong) and I think we do need to wait to access that more. Its a huge risk to move key assets to significantly upgrade for a run, and if we can ride it out until we get some guys back (and hope no more go down) mgm will be better informed to make those decisions. If not, we hold and 2015 and 16 it is.
  21. Rogers can afford them...they have just made a business decision not to enter into boat anchor deals like the ones you mentioned, which I can respect.
  22. The issue is we haven't demonstrated we can tread water. More like sinking. We are playing .350 ball for a month. It may be too much to expect for this line as depleted as it is to stay close. In which case keep assets...and look to 2015 and 2016 it is.
  23. I respect that view but remember 2010 and a good young rotation anchored by Marcum-Morrow-Cecil-Romero, and visions of Drabek danced in our heads. Things usually don't materialize as planned as injuries and/or meltdowns unfold. We have some big pieces that likely wont be around and/or as productive over the next couple years. I'm of the view that once in the playoffs anything can happen. I'm not sure the opp still exists that I saw in AL East with our injuries, but if we can hang in there Im ok to move some assets to upgrade to make a run.
