  1. Honestly didn't think he would be THIS bad at dish. Just horrible pitch recognition. Book on him too easy. nice BB though
  2. Yup-after tearing his hammy last year trying to beat one out, and with his back issues.
  3. Not suggesting he is still with Jays. Im wondering what people think assessing his value as an asset on the basis he would agree to move positions for another team. We have Travis at 2nd who looks like he can stick (with reasonable probability), and we don't have a better option @ SS right now.
  4. Reyes - oft injured talented offensive catalyst that is below avg defensively. Plus arm and showing a bit better range 2015. Ignoring whether he would willingly move positions or not and what team he would be on, is 2nd or the OF the optimum option for him as he ages?
  5. Amazing career ...durability and consistency. He is a pitcher. But no.
  6. Yup = he is doing what he always does. His start in 2013 was s*** too and he bounced back.
  7. Awesome start...great game men! Nice to come off the mat and pick up the W!
  8. I never said I want Reyes to play 2nd for us. I like him but he is not close to value for cost. I think he should end his career at 2nd ...somewhere else. But I doubt we can move him. If we do it will still be costly. His has a + arm and quick release but he its erratic. Goins is a glove...and will be in AAA. Some think 2nd and SS are interchangeable and not much difference. I disagree. I don't see Travis @ SS either.
  9. agree to disagree
  10. Did I say I wanted Reyes to play for the Jays? lol
  11. Arm doesn't help much when he cant get to balls and the ones he does he boots too often. 2nd is his best option. Doesn't hurt to have + arm at 2nd to turn DPs and for off balance throws when going to the right up the middle.
  12. I have never argued Reyes should be moved to 2nd temporarily. He should be @ 2nd permanently to finish his career. I only mentioned Goins because he is such an obviously better SS...AAA player that he is.
  13. Seriously...I get it. But so what? He is taking it easy so he doesn't get hurt like end of last season. Im ok with it. He is still nursing his back and legs.
  14. I just started watching but I think its funny (or more like pathetic) that Reyes was shovelling to Goins @ 2nd on that DP...when it should be the other way around.
  15. Exactly. He isn't there to beat out ground balls...he is there to mash. So I don't care if he jogs to make sure he stays in line up
  16. He tore his hammy last season running hard to beat one out, and it hurt us bad. He hasn't looked right most of year and I wouldn't be surprised if they have told him not to bust it to first.
  17. Spot on...it is frustrating as a fan though. They have enough payroll to win but he is handcuffed. Would have liked to see Rogers double down to get us some arms and OF depth.
  18. I understand that completely...trust me. Have suffered through it with the rest of you. Its pretty amazing you can have the same differential in one category but be so far off where it really counts. My point was it can be thin margin for winning and losing...and sometimes you need a bit of luck. We could go on a roll...or not.
  19. Well said. As of Tues when I looked our run differential was +27. To put that in perspective, Houston’s was the same and they were 13 games over .500.
  20. Exactly, he has been castrated. Some of the callers he gets - I cant really blame him for his responses. I want to throw people off a cliff who beg for "small ball" and endless bunting myself.
  21. Trade Reyes? Good luck with that. More like get someone to eat as much of his salary as we can. I don't think AA can pull off a Vernon Wells Version 2.0 with Reyes.
  22. Absolutely. Bosox letting Betts play through any struggles. That's was a Snider-ish clusterf***
  23. Completely agree (with possible exception of RA and Gomes although I get what he TRYING to accomplish with them) We really aren't that far off where we need to be.
  24. Yup. Awesome deal regardless of what those who went to A's do. AA has made some excellent moves and some bombs. Ive seen worse GMs. Lets win the division now. Its there for the taking.
  25. let us savour the W for a moment before we start eating our young again
