He can but his stuff is all up today so far. They are teeing off. Another long day for pen.

Martin had an off day Thurs. He has been hitting the crap out of the ball and we so need him today. Pillars WAR is 1.3 with a .670 OPS just behind Martins 1.5. It ain't for his stick.

When RA is s*** and we have to send Pillar up after Edwin in the order (and Thole later) the price of having a knuckler hits you in the face. We made Clay B work but could not get the hit we needed.

Reyes wouldn't go for it. Goins is a great glove. He just cant f***ing hit enough to stick.

Good post...agree with you 100%. I think a lot of people had "irrational exuberance" about his stint in the pen last year. Loads of talent but so what...many arms do. If he can improve command he will be highly effective.

I don't know but it feels like our injury mgm is terrible. From Lind last year to getting Reyes and Saunders back in the line up half assed only to loose them again for longer chunks after half assed injured stints of play. It was obvious that both Saunders and Reyes were still hurt...and ineffective.

"Red Sox pitching is terrible".....hmmm. I love saying that! Sox Nation but be snapping their crayons. We think Hutch and Sanchez are inconsistent with good stuff and they are...but what would we be saying if we had Kelly? 98 on the paint one pitch and then hangin' mush to mash.
