  1. After the game I'm pretty sure we will hear Loup was not feeling right when he got up and he was not available.
  2. f*** tomorrow. We have the lead and need to nail the door closed. We can limp through tomorrow if we need to. They would have Kimbrell in if they were in same situation.
  3. 4 runs nothing in Fenway. You got this Biagini. Ump has squeezed us.
  4. f***. It's good to have Devo back!
  5. Both balls hitters have put in play off Grilli have been drilled. We are getting some luck these days! Tide has turned.
  6. I'd like to see him out. We have a rested 8 man pen. He did his job and kept us in this game.
  7. He is getting a steady diet away and of course Edwin pulls it into a GB to SS.
  8. As a DH with PED test pos in same Era as all the others not in who should be, it will be very difficult for Papi.
  9. Nice job RA. Great start! Hit the showers. I'm all good with that.
  10. Ok RA. Shut them down here. We need a K. Osuna time? Can he 10 outs? Lol
  11. He is pitching well but we've all seen too many times how fast that can change without even a hard hit ball. Price has a horseshoe up his ass this start.
  12. Price getting some luck. Jose on 3B and Smoak hit that hard. Don't blame Jose for trying to get to 3B. Took perfect execution to get him.
  13. There is one. I started it 2nd half last year. He frustrates us all but his production is worth what we pay him and at the end of the year his is 2 WAR ish all said and done. Given the price of FA SP that's not bad for the back end.
  14. If they give Price those f***ing calls on Travis we are f***ed.
  15. How is it the vast majority of us wanted RA back saying exercising his option was a no brainer, and then we complain endlessly about him? It's just so painful to watch.
  16. The RA circus back in town. Thole has one job. It's not easy but he literally can't do anything else. Runner on 3B catch the f***ing ball.
  17. Praying for one of those rare RA masterpieces. Good start off Price. Good contact except for Jose. Edit: just advanced Pvr to LO walk. Yikes.
  18. Not sure I agree with this order, but going into 2016 I liked this pen and still think it can come around. We are seeing small signs of that. I'm also encouraged our rotation can backfill with Chavez, Floyd and Hutch when Sanchez goes to pen. If our offense lights up that should be enough depth. I like that mgm is trying to add more with Grilli etc.
  19. Strong is the force for irrational dislike for Jose. Papi routinely snaps at umps and even argues with Mgr publically in past. Has PED past and yet...he is a God. Amazing what being perceived as "clutch" and helping win a couple WS rings will do to get people to overlook issues that they see in other players much more harshly. I also like Papi, but I hope his numbers fall off a f***ing cliff soon.
  20. He got clubbed by LHH 2015, and even with the V and movement MLB players will get to it. Its not unhittable. He has given up 63 hits 2016(although he is giving up less HRs). I think whats made him better this year is use of improved secondary pitches working off that good sinking FB.
  21. The Stroshow blows....right now anyway. If you are going to talk and tweet that much...back it up with performance. He acts like he pitches like Thor, but he has been more like "insert RHP over reliant on one pitch nibbler here". The kid has so much talent its frustrating to watch. To think we started this season with Pedro saying Stro was better than he was.
  22. We are a third of the way through 2016 - 11 starts. I'm looking at his body of work as a SP last year too. The sample size is too small to declare him a 2/3 right now, even if he has pitched that way. So far his xFIP and WAR numbers look good. Things can change. He may have reached his ceiling. Stro was better in 2014 than he is right now looking at 2014, 2015 and this year to date. At times he has looked like a 1/2. Last start (and in others) he has looked like a 4/5 or a Bison's SP as BoSox feasted on him. These guys just don't have enough starts. His xFIP continues to climb.
  23. It is. And with the exception of Leon/Souza this year and a few other spots he has done ok managing a pen of mostly unacheievers to this point.
  24. The CB down and in to LHH has been the pitch that has allowed him to start to get them out more. I hope the change continues to improve because he falls in love with that sinking FB...which doesn't always sink. And its movement which is a huge strength often takes it out of the zone...which is a huge weakness when he looses guys on BBs.
  25. We did a poll on his ceiling and I think I picked 4/5 SP. He has exceeded that so far, and I have been impressed with secondary pitch development but I still don't trust him that much. Just too many balls in play along with too many walks (even though that ratio is improving). He is a valuable arm for sure and he could be a 2/3 SP.
