    RBI are so pointless when evaluating value. He was hitting under .200 with RISP and getting those RBIs with a 100 ish wRC+. Lets see where he ends up. He is the type of hitter who could stay hot for half a season and get back to the 150 wRC+ elite hitter he has been for us. In which case, he gonna get paid. If he doesn't, there will be lots of talk about aging curves and his decline and all the associated risks = cheaper. p.s Even freakish Papi isn't a 200 wRC+ hitter and I'm calling a tough 2nd half for him.

    Martin and Stro have forgotten more about pitching that anyone on this board knows. Still, I find it funny that that's what many of us have been saying since the start of the year. Even Buck is flapping about it. Watching the good hitters approach him, it just seems f***ing obvious to me they have gotten better at laying off low s***, and are making him bring it up or BBing. He is working down and away so often he eliminates most of the plate for the hitters. That's never a good thing. He needs to elevate and come in more often. I saw him pitch up a bit today and that was encouraging. I don't like the cutter to RHH because he misses too often out over the plate and it gets mashed. Still think he needs a change but shelve it for now. He was better today but it was the Phillies.

    Everyone getting to Stro big time the more they see him. At least he has been elevating the ball upstairs a bit today.

    It's a LONG way from MLB but watching my kid pitch little league @ 8 is really stressful and hard. I can't imagine what it must be like for them. There is just you out there and all eyes are on you.

    I'm good with it. They have been f***ed too many times by the umps and on replay. It wasn't replay but that check swing K that wasn't on Davis Sunday still pisses me off.
