Gillespie should have never been on the team. I'm not sure if he was legitimately injured, or if it's roster gaming, but I don't care. Kratz has been good versus lefties, good behind the dish, and has been absolutely destroying Triple-A since his last demotion. .

  3. lol'd. This place is hilarious sometimes.
  4. Camilla Belle looks the best in that picture, but I could never pick anyone over Anna Kendrick. I f***ing love her.
  5. I've always loved this guy since he was drafted, and stuff like this makes me want to see him succeed even more. I really don't want them to trade this guy. He seems like the kind of player that appreciates what he's got and the further benefit for the team is that he would probably sign team-friendly deals to stick around, as well.
  6. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/midseason-top-50-injury-cant-knock-buxton-1/ Been up all night, and I'm tired as f***, so I'm just posting the link right now. Will edit this post later with the full list, but since it's free content, anyone can just get what they need by following the link. Jays notables: Norris is 25th overall, Pompey is 47th overall, Sanchez off the list. Also; the Cubs system is f***ing stupid. This is probably the lowest overall rankings I've seen for the Cubs system, and they still have three top-7 guys with another in the top-50.
  7. Except, ironically, Gillespie has a 48 career wRC+ against lefties.
  8. What "c'mon man"? Unless you were making a bad pun about his name, he's right about everything he said. He's just trying to create some objective discussion, something that is too much of a rarity on this forum, especially with new users. I agree with everything you said; Gose does deserve to stay, but now that they've got Reimold, Gose is that much stronger as a depth option ready and waiting at AAA in case someone gets injured. An outfield of Melky, Colby and Bautista with Reimold off the bench and DH'ing against lefties should be more than adequate for a team trying to win. In the infield, not only should the Jays pursue someone like Headley, they need to have the balls to move Reyes off short. I don't know why Lawrie at short is never mentioned as a possibility, but he's got good range and a wicked arm and it's worth a shot; he can't be any worse than Reyes. An infield (once healthy -- if that will ever happen) of Headley-Lawrie-Reyes-Edwin should be better than satisfactory as well. Tolleson and Francisco then gain value for being bench guys as opposed to starters. Kratz should be called back up as the backup catcher; he's good against lefties, great defensively, and the team shouldn't have to suffer for four days because Old Man f***tard needs someone to catch his s***** knuckler once a week. OF| Melky-Colby-Jose IF| Headley-Lawrie-Reyes-Edwin C| Navarro DH| Lind BENCH| Kratz, Tolleson, Francisco, Reimold There's enough defense, offence, power, and platoon splits there to be able to be "in it" in every game. With Gose in Buffalo as an injury replacement, you shore up the OF. Ideally you cut Navarro, but we know they won't do that, so catching is essentially "set" as well, with the less-than-desirable options of Navarro and Thole. All that really needs to be worked on beyond the above lineup is getting one good infield replacement to sit as depth in AAA (like Gose), a starting pitcher, and an extra relief arm. If Headley is possible to obtain; good. If it's possible to add Kennedy to that, then great. If it's possible to add Benoit on top of all that and still make a reasonable trade, then excellent. They can fill all of their holes in one trade and get back to focusing on winning. And if not, then they need to stop f***ing around with their tail between their legs and start a legitimate firesale. Enough of this ******** "hovering in the middle" garbage that has gone on 20 years too long.
  9. Headley heating up right now is probably terrible news for the Jays; every day he stays hot he hikes up his trade value a bit more. The more people write about the Jays being in on Headley, the more I think that it's not going to end up happening. Seems whenever this kind of story "breaks", whether it's something huge like Darvish or something small like Floyd, Jays fans are the ones that get burned.
  10. To be honest, I'm so much more interested in what the Jays are going to do on the transactions front than I am in the games right now. I don't see how this lineup can compete with the Angels juggernaut offense, no other team comes close to that lineup right now. Sure, Trout is carrying a lot of that himself, but that doesn't change the fact that he is doing it. The Jays have scored something like 4 runs in the last 40 or so innings. With how hot the Angels and Rays are right now, it'll take a minor miracle to win anything before the All-Star break.
  11. In what twisted, murderous dystopia does Gillespie batting vs LHPs make sense on paper?!?
  12. Red Sox are down 4-0 vs CWS in the 7th. Yankees up 5-3 on the Twins in the 8th. Tampa down 6-0 in the bottom of the 9th. Nationals and Orioles tied 2-2 in the Top of the 10th. http://i.gyazo.com/31a6de2ef33f2cf1609a4132f63c2c56.png
