  1. Hum... That seems pretty realistic. Colorado is probably fishing for a relatively inexpensive veteran 1B and Smoak's hard contact skill (his only skill really) would play up a bit over there.
  2. It would be nearly impossible to pull off. As you fill holes, the signings from previous years would start to decline creating new holes and payroll inefficiencies. You'd probably be caught in an endless spend cycle.
  3. My trade block was talking about Dull in this thread and concluding that I can pretty safely cut him.
  4. Alternatively, an injury could change the landscape. If a hole opens up for a contender, that could pressure them into a win now move that doesn't look great on paper. We've seen it happen. A lot still has to go wrong for Bautista to get completely squeezed.
  5. It is for now. If the entire market collectively decides to wait out the compensation period then you lose nothing by signing him because you're not getting the pick anyways but it's too early to make that determination.
  6. No, those teams would have a protected pick.
  7. Cleveland had turned House into a reliever full time. Considering the need for LH relief options it's not even necessarily a bad thing if he's consigned to that role with the Jays.
  8. Yeah but we're not just talking about fans. We're talking about people like Mitchell Licthman who are the foremost experts on win expectancy just tearing into Maddon.
  9. Reliever Ryan Dull OTB. Top 100 ranked players in this league. Not sure what that brings back.
  10. So what would you accept? Do you even have any open rosters spots?
  11. IIRC, you traded him to me for A.J. Reed and Bradley Zimmer.
  12. With the Jays striking out on Fowler and Bautista striking out with every other team, a reunion is starting to make sense for both sides even though that wasn't what either side wanted.
  13. Borucki is a lefty with some promise. That alone justifies the 40 man roster spot. It's kind of insane the struggles the Blue Jays have had with LHP going back to last year's playoffs when the Loups had their baby.
  14. The cold cuts era is over. Now if you want to slather your dick on the buffet, you'll have to do it with catered food.
  15. Sorry I should have just said IT turned into a bickering fest. Who started it is irrelevant since I didn't punish you or anyone else.
  16. The EE thread was closed because you turned into a bickering fest. That's not comparable to harmless fantasy discussion.
  17. This thread has gone to s*** and I'm closing it. We can start a new thread WHEN THERE'S ACTUAL NEWS TO REPORT.
  18. He came back briefly during the 2016 playoffs.
  19. I think they just went that way because it's technically expedient. It's a shame too because they missed out on an opportunity to create a potential unprecedented fantasy super player.
  20. NJH contains multitudes.
