  1. Redmond, Hendriks, Cecil. Estrada has options (in theory) but too much service time (I assume). http://www.rosterresource.com/mlb-toronto-blue-jays/
  2. Yeah and Sanchez to the pen probably means having to DFA someone who is out of options as opposed to the simple demotion that's possible with him.
  3. He was never pegged as a reliever. He's another prospect potentially crowding the 40 if he gets called up thought that's obviously a very minor concern compared to finding a viable 5th starter.
  4. He likes Jesus and stuff. He'll fit right in.
  5. As reactionary posts go, it really wasn't that bad.
  6. He's been very available before and nothing happened. Either AA hates him or he hates AA. Possibly a bit of both. I would love for the hatchet to be buried but it ain't happening.
  7. Right. I wondered about that. Gomes is injured so they could probably use a guy and they have some pitching depth. Seems like a fit if the financials can be worked out.
  8. Oh so Chacin isn't even on the 40 yet. So they basically replaced Marcum with a similar pitcher while also liberating his roster spot for Hayes who presumably is more of a natural reliever. I guess I do get it then. This is just like the kind of roster churning AA has done in the past with fringy pitchers.
  9. Just saying they could have just demoted him for Hayes. They didn't need to swap him out with Chacin.
  10. Yeah whatever, he was young. Not everyone is a robot like Roy Halladay. Most of us are more like Marcum.
  11. This is pretty bad ass. Seems like the kind of thing that should be forbidden in his contract too. http://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/744880
  12. Yeah but wasn't Marcum on a MiLB contract too?
  13. I know Marcum was considered a bad apple but I still heart him. I mean if I was a ball player, I'm not so sure I wouldn't be getting drunk and partying too.
  14. She's cute. My current avatar is her face superimposed on Matt West's old photo with a Jays logo replacing the Rangers' T. You can see some of West's golden locks flowing around her.
  15. I don't really get these moves.
  16. KingKat died on Valentine's Day last year. That's a new cat.
  17. Tom Brady's pitch wasn't that bad by ceremonial first pitch standards but pretty underwhelming from a professional ball tosser but what gets me is what a fashion victim he is. Look, I get that sometimes you put on a sweater and realize later that you don't need it and that your only immediate option is to tie it around yourself and look like at tool but come on? Going out to the field like that? There's no way that wasn't planned. http://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/744788
  18. How many events do they even have in the offseason though? The stadium is too big for a lot of things. Right now this is what I see on the schedule for the off-season that isn't an Argo game. October: Taylor Swift November: nothing December: Disney on Ice January: Monster Trucks February. March: nothing That's 3 events total.
  19. You would love a turf that played just like grass but I don't know that slower than grass is more egregious than faster than grass (which is what it was before). This will make life easier for the likes of Jose Reyes but it will suppress some offense. Probably not good for contact hitters like Travis.
  20. Should have been the 2nd out. Still have no idea what Jose was doing on the bases this game.
  21. For one thing, there's two years of control on Saunders as opposed to one for Happ.
  22. Note to self: Do not start a grudge match with Jose Bautista.
  23. Castro gets 2 ks and a save here and I'll salvage something from this matchup with Boxy.
  24. If the choice is between a crappy bullpen and burning options than yeah the later is the better option. The bullpen situation looks worse now than it did at the time the decision was made. Part of that is Cecil not regaining his velocity and Loup looking just plain bad and part of that is self inflicted by not giving much of an opportunity to West and Guilmet and putting Delabar in some strange doghouse (I never understood just handing a job to Delabar as many assumed but I don't understand demoting him either if it's only because has options and is otherwise peforming quite well).
