    I only just thought of him today so I don't know yet. I had two guys in mind and now I guess I have three. If nothing else, I'm happy to realize he's available if only because it means there's a better chance of someone decent falling to me at 6. I don't love that you get two cracks at it in the interim though. Edit: And when I say "only thought about him today", I don't mean I wasn't aware of him but I just assumed he would hit waivers and that I would acquire him that way.

    Yeah AA may get a rough ride here but it's practically the only place. He's the prodigal son pretty much everywhere else.

    No but he does the opposite. He ramps up his outrage for the purposes of TV. He's a pretty smart guy especially compared to most analysts but boy does he ever build it his persona and ham it up. He's at his best when he does in game analysis but when he's editorializing, his descent into self parody is painful to listen to.

    If Yasiel Sierra doesn't get added to the player pool before our draft does he become draft eligible instead of waiver eligible?

    Depends by what you mean by "large advantage". Larger than it was? Yes. Still not that large compared to other sports.

    I think you have to sit on that contract for a few years. He clearly doesn't enjoy being traded so he's going to value stability for the moment and it's not a great time to shop that contract anyways. If he's still about an average hitter and fielder, he'll be attractive to someone once the deal is shorter, especially if there's inflation.

    Smoak is 50 points above his projected wOBA. I was going to say Pillar but he's regressed quite a bit since that brief moment when his numbers looked good. Below projections atm.
