  1. Surprised to see Varsho so far down the lineup with the spring he had. I would of swapped Lukes and Varsho in the order. Varso also a great bunter if we want to play some small ball.
  2. How the f*** did the Jays not go out and sign a top tier outfielder, they had to have known that Santander was cooked, unreal!
  3. 10 years is a long time and would really need to be a much lower AAV or have a ton of deferred money on such a risky deal. 10/$325M would be like a max offer IMO.
  4. Skubal definitely shot for the moon, but the Tigers offer is a huge lowball at the same time. Vladdy $19M arb award is currently the largest ever, keep in mind that was during his Arb 2 year. I think Tigers ownership might of screwed themselves by trying to be cheap asses and not even offer him at least $20M. I think there is a real possibility that Skubal wins here. Hope this insulting offer bites the Tigers in the ass. Either way I think Skubal will be traded at some point this season and this offer just likely strained there relationship.
  5. Seems crazy as we end the year, still so many top tier free agents on the board. I'm surprised both Bichette and Tucker still haven't signed. I wonder if it's a case of crazy demands or owners scared to lock players into long term contracts with the expiring CBA and high likelihood of some type of salary cap system looming.
  6. Feel so incredibly blessed to have been there in person to watch this historic moment! Thanks for posting first time I actually watched the full game, it's unreal how electric it was there that night. As loud as it was on TV, it didn't even do it justice how insane the atmosphere was, everyone was on their feet from the opening pitch through the entire game. Even after that Raleigh HR in the fifth the crowd never quittied. Will be a memory I will never forget!
  7. The upgrades at the Rogers Centre are a huge win. The stadium went from being bottom 5 in the league to now at least middle of the pack. The Renos have made the fan experience so much better! Seating has way better sightlines and all the social areas are awesome! They did a phenomenal job with the Renos! The GA tickets was a great addition too. The atmosphere since they've done the Renos is so much better too, actually feels like a baseball stadium now.
  8. With the amount of depth we have within our organization, I don't think a top end Starter is necessarily a priority. If we can bring in a guy like Gallen or even Cease that would be great, but we don't need to break the bank to trade for Skubal.
  9. The problem with Bichette is he doesn't profile to age well later into his contract. His sprint speed has already fallen off dramatically even before his recent knee/calf injuries and he doesn't take alot of walks. I worry signing him to a long term deal could prove to be an albatross down the road. That being said he is such a pure hitter, I think he will likely command at least $200M/8 years. Could see a team like the Mets or SF go stupid and give him like a $300M/10 year deal.
  10. I Want no part of Valdez on this team. Any pitcher who tries to deliberately injury his own catcher by intentionally crossing him up is a terrible person. Wouldn't touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. We have great clubhouse chemistry, this guy sounds like a clubhouse cancer!
  11. At this point I don't think we need to push hard or give up top end prospects for Skubal. Heard he's not the greatest clubhouse guy either. I'd be happy with someone like Cease that we don't need to trade for and give up prospects.
  12. Can't see Bassitt being resigned unless he comes back in a reliever role. He's not worth $20M+ entering his age 37 season. He had a mediocre 2025 season. Let's face it, he's been declining in the last 2 years.
  13. This is a hometown discount if I've ever seen one! He could of easily gotten a multi-year deal with a higher AAV on the open market had he opted out. This proves he really wants to stay here. Hopefully we can get a team friendly deal worked out with Bichette now! I suspect Bichette will not be so generous though, I'm thinking min 8yr/$250M for him to stay.
  14. What type of contract does everyone think Bo will command? Does 8/$200M get it done? Or you think some teams will give him more money longer term deal?
  15. Hypothetical question. Had the Jays sustained another injury after they completely exhausted their entire 26 man roster, would they have had to forfeit the game if the player couldn't continue or would they be allowed to play a man down in the field and take an automatic out when it would be their turn to bat?
  16. Vlad isn't given an opportunity to hit in that scenario. If they don't send Schneider there are runners and second and third and they walk Vladdy with an open base and pitch to IKF 100% of the time. In hindsight it was the right call to send Schneider with 2 outs to try and score that run. It took 2 perfect throws to get him out.
  17. Yeah that was a brutal rendition of our Anthem, he sounded horrible.
  18. I get that long term it would be ideal for Bichette to be a 2nd baseman, but can we really start him at 2nd base in the World Series when he has never played a game at 2nd base in his major league career? That would seem a little crazy wouldn't it?
  19. My game 1 lineup vs Snell would be Springer DH Schneider LF Guerrero 1B Bichette SS Kirk C Varsho CF Clement 3B Gimenez 2B Straw RF
  20. I'd stick with the same lineup as last night, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
  21. I have a good feeling about Scherzer tonight! This is the exact type of game he was brought in to pitch! He's been in situations like this countless times throughout his career and won't succumb to the pressure. He is a true gamer and is built for games like this! In Scherzer we trust!
