    Though Santander hasn't been mashing, his eye at the plate and ability to take walks and drive up pitch counts will be invaluable in the playoffs and if he has the ability to come through with a key HR as well.

    Let's not sugar coat it, Gausman was bad today. We are actually lucky we are still leading. He left so many pitches up in the zone. Rays missed a bunch of pitches that were middle/middle.

    At this point there is no way you can't have Yesavage as your #3 starter. #4 I would go with a bullpen game that might include Scherzer. Yesavage just proved he can pitch under pressure with the excellent start he has for us yesterday.

    Rage baiting at it's finest. Vlad is literally the second best hitter on the team with a .295 avg (2nd), 134 OPS+ (2nd), 4.1 WAR (tied for 1st with Springer), 23 HR (2nd). Only Springer has been better offensively. Sure he's not putting up 2021 numbers but he's far from useless and still have a very solid season despite his recent slump.

    Great outing for Yesavage! Think he just locked up the 3rd starter for the postseason! Just proved he can perform under pressure! Need to win this game and have Gausman throw a gem tomorrow and we don't even have to worry about what the Yankess do then.

    Why wasn't gimenez running full tilt as soon as that ball was hit, there were 2 outs, no reason for any hesitation there. Should of scored on that play.

    We've already locked up a playoff spot, yes winning the division would be ideal, but letting your $100M player sit and rot is stupid. If he's healthy he should be playing bottom line.

    I'm completely baffled why Santander isn't playing tonight. Give him these remaining games to prove himself to see if he's worthy of being on the playoff roster. Having a legit power threat in your lineup is invaluable in the playoffs. I don't care if he hits .200, if he can hit a HR at a key moment we need that. HRs are even more important in the playoffs.

    It's called a slump, happens to every team. We still have the best offense in baseball, they will turn it around, better to slump now then in the playoffs. We play much better at home, and we finish there with 6 games. Let's not jump off a cliff here

    Jays never play well in TB or KC, so this is expected, hopefully they can avoid the sweep tomorrow and head back home on a winning note. Still feeling confident we will win the division, 6 home games to end the season at least and we have the best home record in baseball.

    Cleveland only 3 games back now after the Tigers loss, could be 2.5 if Indians can pull it out tonight. This Tigers Collapse could be one of the worst in MLB history. They were up 11 games on Sep 1st. Unreal!

    Jays definitely can't let off the gas, they have a comfortable but not insurmountable lead. The Yankees can easily win 8 or 9 of their last 10 games with 7 of them being against Baltimore and 3 against the White Sox. Jays need to take 2 of 3 in KC
