  1. Somebody's spicy! This is a baseball axiom as old as the World Series, it worked out, but you never put the winning run on base! A shot down the line or gapper and game is over. We got lucky there!
  2. Cardinal rule in baseball, never put the winning run on base.
  3. Think we caught a break there. Looked safe to me, but too close to overturn on replay.
  4. Springer 100%. Guy has the experience and has handled playoff pressure before
  5. I have absolutely zero confidence in Vlad with runners in scoring position with 2 outs. Seems like he grounds out every time! He doesn't seem to perform well under pressure.
  6. Jays are on the verge of sweeping the second 4 game series in a row in the Bronx in 2 years. The Yankees have only been swept twice in a 4 game series at home in the last 20 years and both times were at the hands of the Blue Jays. Time to make it the third time tomorrow!
  7. Why the hell are we bringing in Romano when we are up 4 runs and he just pitched yesterday? Save him for Tomorrow or Sunday. Basically means he's unavailable tomorrow if we are in a tight game. Did Schneider channel Montoyo here? WTF?
  8. No way there was conclusive evidence to overturn that call. Looked like it went right into the weebing of the glove. Complete horseshit! Cost the 2 runs an a bunch of extra pitches for Manoah.
  9. I can't believe that call was actually overturned! I could understand if it was called obstruction on the field, but to overturn a call I thought there had to be 100% certainty? Even Tabby and Shulman seemed to be in disbelief. Don't get me wrong I'm happy we got the win, but if the roles were reversed I'd be pissed. I think the catcher obstruction rule needs more clarification tbh. Was exactly is considered a "lane" for the baserunner? Too much ambiguity and leaves to much up to interpretation of the rule.
  10. Your right Pujols is slower, but not by much. Pujols (23.2ft/sec) Kirk (24.4ft/sec) Only 3 players in the league are slower then Pujols (Martin Maldonado, Yadier Molina and the slowest of them all Yasmin Grandal) https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/leaderboard/sprint_speed
  11. I'd be interested to see who had a faster sprint speed, Pujols or Kirk. I think Kirk might actually be faster lol
  12. Manoah looks okay Thank God! That was scary though!
  13. Tanner Houck cost his team a W by not getting vaccinated. Hope that loss costs the Sox a post season birth.
  14. Finally a call in our favour, that was strike 3 on Vlad, would of been a strike em out throw em out. That's huge!
  15. Why is Vladdy DHing? He needs a rest from playing 1st base? DH Kirk and bench Tapia. This guy should never be batting higher then 9th in the lineup, 5th??? What the hell is Montoyo smoking?
  16. Get Berrios out of there! They are all over him.
  17. The Yankees have the 3rd toughest schedule remaining, while the Jays have the 10th easiest. Goal should be to be within 5 games of the Yanks by the Allstar break. If we can do that I think we will be in good shape to take the division down the stretch, especially with so many games vs Baltimore in Aug/Sept. It won't be easy but definitely acheivable. I wouldn't be suprised to see both the Jays and Yankees crack the 100 win plateau.
  18. Record by both teams combined is 10 in one game happened in 1990, Red Sox vs Twins. Record by one team is 7 by San Franscisco in 1969 vs Houston
  19. Easy solution get vaccinated or shut your mouth and don't complain. Hope these guys aren't getting paid either.
  20. Decent looking lineup tonight. I'd swap Espinal and Tapia spots though. Tapia shouldn't ever be hitting higher then 7th in the order, I like him in the 9 hole, get speed on the bases for the top of the order, Biggio 9th is alright too. Nice to see Chapman given a day off, he's been playing a ton.
  21. Jays have had the toughest schedule in the MLB over the first 50 games and yet we are on pace for almost 100 wins. We have the 3rd easiest schedule in our remaining games while the Yankees and Rays have the 4th and 5th toughest schedules left. I'd say we are in good shape to definitely challenge for the AL East title. http://powerrankingsguru.com/mlb/strength-of-schedule.php
  22. Huge hit by Espy! Can save Romano now, absolutely massive!
  23. Why is it the Jays always seem to light up the good pitchers and make the scrubs look like CY Young lol
  24. Vlad is really pressing right now, last year he would of demolished that fastball he fouled off. His timing is way off. Hopefully turns it around soon. Maybe drop him in the order see if that sparks him.
