  1. Really think we need to seriously look at adding a top end starter at the deadline. Manoah is done, he needs to be sent down for the rest of the season. No way he can be trusted to start games down the stretch. I'm not a huge Stroman fan, but I think we need to really look at picking him up even just as a rental.
  2. I Think we need to play wait and see before we even think of going after Stroman. Give Manoah 2 more starts to see if he's really back to his 2022 self. Tomorrow will be a big test for him with a dangerous SD lineup. If he proves himself over the next few starts, I think Stroman is off the table with Ryu also coming back very soon. I think our main target needs to be a power bat, even if its a bench piece like Nelson Cruz. I don't see us making any major moves at the deadline except for maybe a rental BP arm or Power bat.
  3. I think the Jays need to seriously look at picking up a legit power bat at the deadline, even if it's just a rental for the rest of the year. Vladdy has no protection in the order right now and we don't have a legit #4 hitter. We've been cycling through Chapman, Belt, Varsho ect... in the number #4 spot and none of these guys are cutting it. Who is available at the deadline that could provide some protection for Vladdy?
  4. Lukes just saves Schneiders ass right there. How the hell do you not pinch run for Kirk on that situation. Mind boggling
  5. Man if we can pull this one out it will be a real boost heading into the AS break
  6. Actually wouldn't be suprised often 2 totally different games in a double header.
  7. Shouldn't that have been a ground rule double after it hit Springers glove and went into the netting? The Netting is considered out of play is ir not?
  8. Way too soon. He has yet to prove that he's where he needs to be. If he comes back up and gets shelled again this could be the end of his career. He needs more time in the minors to build his confidence. This is a horrible idea. They are rushing him back way too soon.
  9. We are 17th in the league in HR this year. Can't remember the last time we were in the bottom half of the league in power. It's nice that we have a more balanced attack this year, but it feels like we don't have a legitimate power bat anymore. No one comes up to the plate where I'm thinking there is a good chance of a HR here. We've almost swung to far in the other direction now.
  10. The next 15 game stretch before the AS break is critical. We need to shoot to be at least 10 games over .500 by the break. We need to go 10-5 over that stretch. We have some very beatable opponents during this stretch. We need to go on a run now if we have any chance at winning the division. TB is scuffling right now and we need to make up some ground.
  11. Seems like alot of elite pitchers from last year are really struggling this year. I have a feeling that the pitch clock has really impacted some pitchers that have very diliberate deliveries like Alcantara, Manoah, Verlander ect...
  12. Those Texas Unis are god awful
  13. Big win!! Still think it was a mistake taking out Bassitt, Romano settled down though and locked it down! Keirmeier with a great game saving grab! Elite D is massive in these situations!
  14. Gotta let Bassitt try and finish it! Only at 81 pitches, guys a machine!
  15. For all those that doubted Belt's abilities and said he was finished and washed up, what say you now? Even with his absolutely horrid start he's hitting just above his career avg with an OPS+ of 123. Since May 1st his OPS over .950.
  16. It's the Trop, no lead is safe, we'll maybe this one.
  17. Absolutely destroying the Rays Run Differential. At this pace we could catch up to them by the end of this series haha! Padding those stats Boys!
  18. Shocked they overtuned that. Definitely didn't look conclusive. Still dumb to challenge that this early in the game with 2 outs already.
  19. Keirmeier, the only Jay worth watching during this dreaded streak! Guy is a machine, what a throw!
  20. We leave so many guys on base, man this team is frustrating to watch right now. We never seem to get that big hit to blow the game open. When was the last time we won by more then 3 runs?
  21. Keirmeier has been such a huge addition, his D is just so good!
  22. Not a dominant start but at least heading in the right direction. Glad Jansen got him to use the fastball more. Hopefully he can build off this for his next start in Tampa!
  23. How does Schneider forget that Pete Walker already had a mound visit? Get your head in the game Schneider!
