    Yeah the right handed bench bat options are not great if Schneider can't perform. Orelvis or Jimenez could do the trick against lefties but you want them playing everyday and we need more OF than INF since the Wagner/Clement platoon is already fine. When Varsho is back I don't think you want Straw in a corner. Maybe just play Roden everyday.

    Their best hitters are all left-handed or switch hitters with left-handed splits so hopefully Lucas can eat 3 to 4 innings Barnes is going to have to pitch too, hopefully he can throw a scoreless inning. If he doesn't it could be his last in a Jays uni.

    Finally dumping Arash Madani in favor of Emily Asgard is the second biggest upgrade this offseason after the Gimenez trade

    Yeah it's really dumb on several levels. They could have gotten some good prospects for him at one point. But they are also so cheap that it would have brought some salary relief that they could have put into the team. Now they've got a AAA reliever who is the 5th highest paid player on the team.

    Our Rule 5 pick Angel Bastardo got a great ranking and write up. He might be a guy and it seems like we can probably manipulate his TJS recovery to keep him into next year which will give us a longer look at him.

    Yeah this is a must win series and with Easton Lucas on the hill tomorrow we must win tonight or the series will be in jeopardy It's been about a year since we had a winning record and I never want to experience a .500 or worse record again

    If he's not going to give us: any sort of hometown discount any sort of credit for securing the deal prior to him hitting FA then what is the point of signing him right now? It'd be better to let him hit FA and let that determine his market value. He's got to take some risk himself.

    The Braves finally broke their scoreless innings streak at 30 in a 6-1 loss to the Dodgers.

    Yeah our pitching plans really ride on Berrios tonight. If he can go 6 or 7 tonight in a rout that sets us up perfectly for an Easton Lucas/bullpen game tomorrow. Everyone can then rest up with the off day on Thursday and then we are back to full strength with Gausman on the hill against the Mets.

    Agreed. And he's fiddling with his grips before the ball is even in his glove. I love how he's painting the very edge of the zone, sometimes missing it by an inch or two but still getting the call with Kirk back there.
