  1. Francis regressing might be the KO punch on contention this season. I think most teams can generally handle one black hole in the rotation, provided the other 4 are solid. But 3 aging vets and two black holes? WC3 will not be easy to make.
  2. Season rides on Eric Lauer I take back anything bad I ever said about Ryan Yarbrough and would like to officially apologize to all of his fanboys (of which there are many on this board)
  3. The season literally rests on the arm of TBD tonight
  4. So what now...we dump Casey Lawrence and call up Eric Lauer tomorrow?
  5. The Jays have 16 homers now Francis himself has given up 11 on the year 😐
  6. Well we've hit 9 home runs at the RC all year and the Sox have hit 5 tonight. They could actually catch us by the end of the series.
  7. Tate is warming up. We will probably have to use Lawrence today now too. Option Tate and DFA Lawrence for a couple more gas cans for tomorrow's game lol.
  8. Don't worry you guys we've got a bullpen game tomorrow after Francis gets pulled in the 4th...
  9. I had to double check to make sure my eyes were working and you're right. 5 homers, 2 doubles and a single though 2 innings. I don't think we've hit that many home runs all season. 😐
  10. The team looks fired up. My sources are telling me that Will Wagner's noodle bat was infecting everyone on the team. Now that he's been replaced with the high fiber Daulton Varsho it has improved morale and the team is expecting a breakout against Crotch-Itch tonight. GO JAYS
  11. Maybe against righties they'll do that
  12. This plan makes sense. The only thing I'd consider is just making Lukes the primary LF right now with Straw spelling him against lefties. Lukes has a .342 xwOBA right now. We could send Roden down for regular ABs and add Stefanic to the 40-man (not sure for who but they could figure it out) and call him up to balance the roster with another infielder. But I don't mind giving Roden more run either. His defense and baserunning has been good so he's not killing us like Wagner was.
  13. That looks a little bit better. Against a righty we can put Barger and Roden in there instead of Clement and Straw.
  14. This roster is kind of nutty right now. Look at all these outfielders: Varsho Springer Santander Lukes Roden Straw Barger I can only assume this means that Barger will be playing a lot more 3B moving forward.
  15. Orelvis and Bloss both heating up is good to see. Orelvis has played 14 games at 2B and just 3 at 3B. He must REALLY suck at 3B if they are barely trying him there anymore. The plan must be to let Bo walk, move Gimenez over to SS, and if Orelvis is performing he can fit in at 2B.
  16. Ah geeze we face Garret Crotch-Itch tonight?
  17. I can't actually find the argument for Yarbrough in that article. Shi claims he would fill the current void well but the only evidence he uses is that he's thrown 11 innings of 5.40 ERA ball.
  18. Tony Taters can get to 20. To go along with a .280 OBP. Vlad can get to a baker's dozen Tyler Heineman will end up 3rd on the team with 8
  19. That's where your wrong, bucko Official Statement from Spanky, myself and the rest of Team Playoffs:
  20. Yankee fans are literally PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING the other teams' outfielders to try and help the team win. All I'm suggesting is that we use a few choice WORDS to help the team out a little bit before the season is lost. I am not going to let this team ruin my entire summer again if I can help it.
  21. Oh there are definitely consequences. You'll be kicked out of the game and probably 86'd for life (based on personal experience it's very hard for them to enforce the latter). But have you taken a look at the standings lately?? NOT GOOD
  22. Spanky are you off probation yet? I’d do it but my probation officer won’t let me leave the state of Florida anytime soon.
  23. So you’re saying a single heckler’s voice will carry throughout the dome? All it takes is one hero to stand up, do the right thing, and possibly turn this season around. Who will have the courage?
  24. Two things on this whole Jarren Duran trying to fight a heckler thing. 1. Any Red Sox fan showing any indignation over the heckler is rich given the vile filth that is flying out of the majority of their fans’ mouths on a nightly basis. Very nasty people. 2. With the Sox coming to town this week and the Jays scuffling I would like to remind all Jays fans to remain polite and respectful. That is until Duran comes to the plate in a big spot at which point we need a few courageous fans to unleash on him. Yeah you’re probably getting kicked out of the game but we absolutely cannot fall any further behind in the standings right now.
