  1. The live shot of Kirk running top speed rounding second 😂
  2. Great job by Daz to maintain his hamstrings while hustling on that play That's a skill that we've been lacking this season
  3. Springer was grimacing through every swing of that final AB yesterday. It was awful. Keys has been hitting again in AAA. I say give him a shot.
  4. 6 difficult games and then the easiest schedule I’ve ever seen to close out a season. Just need to avoid complete disaster and we will be fine. 2-4 is probably good enough. In the meantime, Springer looks like a walking corpse out there. We should IL him for Keys.
  5. I love the sportsnet crew panning to Bret Boone’s brother the entire game. Watching his meltdowns the entire game is must see TV.
  6. Bullpen usage has been great recently. Letting Lee wear one in the close game against the Sox where we trailed by a run allowed us to use all the high leverage guys in the other games. A lot of casuals were losing their mind but it paid off bigly.
  7. -Boone got tossed -Cole had a meltdown and took the L -1 GB of a playoff spot What a start to the weekend boys
  8. Waldron and Lee survive for now. When Little is off the paternity list he will take one of their spots. Probably Lee since Waldron provides "length" (aka 5 ERs in 3.1 innings).
  9. 4-5 could even be okay, assuming one of the other WC contenders doesn't rip off a string of wins. These next 9 games are the only difficult games left on the entire schedule. Just find some way to remain within 3 games of the WC and the playoffs will be easy to make.
  10. Get him and Nolan Perry up and let's win the damn World Series
  11. MLB PIpeline updated our Top 30 https://www.mlb.com/milb/prospects/bluejays/ Ricky T has been dropped all the way to #11
  12. Speaking of connections, I had a direct line to Ross Atkins for YEARS until that restraining order issue popped up. I can no longer contact him but Smokinitup420 if you could please tell him to DFA Chase Lee and call up Nolan Perry I would really appreciate it. We can still make the playoffs goddammit.
  13. Maybe Miles moves back to being a bulk pitcher. He and SWR can tandem the 5th starter duties. And then Sewald and Flu can take over the 7th inning role. Arrighetti is back on the hill for Buffalo this weekend so maybe he could help soon.
  14. Sewald will be on the team tomorrow so they'll either DFA Waldron or option Chase Lee I would guess. Bottom of the bullpen is looking rough though. Would like to see Mantiply come back. He was throwing bullpens in late July but I haven't heard anything since. But with Scherzer and SWR in the rotation we need some length too. The injuries to Trey and Taillon are killing me. Maybe Waldron survives because he can provide "length"? We really need one more solid DFA pickup.
  15. He's looked pretty good his last two starts and he's going to be fired up for today's game with the team back in the playoff chase.
  16. Neither of them play each other down the stretch so normally I would say you want one of them to beat up on the other. We won't hold the tiebreaker with Texas but there is a chance we could with Houston. So if Texas wins the division, and we are tied with Houston there is a chance we could still get in. So I guess Houston but I don't think it matters too much.
  17. We have passed the Orioles* in the standings. The Guardians are next. *Zero playoff wins under the current regime btw
  18. That bullpen chart looks a heckuva lot cleaner after yesterday's game. Can't believe we got away with 4 innings of Lee, Little, Fisher and Miles to hang on for the W.
  19. Yes exactly. You can't just put him in the 9th inning no matter what and expect it to work. You could be facing a part of the order that has some lefties coming up or the other team could have some good lefty pinch hit options. You want to use him when the matchups look more favorable. 7th inning and a string of righties are coming up. 6th inning jam with 2 outs and a runner in scoring position with a righty at the dish. Situations like that.
  20. That's insane lol Lefties have a .405 wOBA against him this year compared to just .251 against righties. (.329/.270 split for his career.)
  21. Schneids just needs to be smart and use him only in situations where an onslaught of solo homers won't kill us too bad.
