  1. Asks why people are comparing Hoffman to SWR (I didn't think anyone was) Proceeds to write two paragraphs where he actually compares Hoffman to SWR
  2. Weren't you the one that was whining about the khakis at the trade deadline last year? Because the Jays were only able to get Varland while the Yankees got Bednar, Camilo Doval, and that turd from the Rockies?
  3. Gausman vs. Gore Corbin vs. Eovaldi Cease vs. Rocker Bieber vs. Quantrill
  4. Ok Fangraphs released the Stuff+ for Bieber and it was 95 for yesterday's game. That would be the highest Stuff+ grade for Bieber since 2021 so that's good. His location+ was 93 though (101 for his career). You'd think that would improve as he shakes the cobwebs off. So that maybe wasn't as bad of a first start as your eyeballs would tell you it was.
  5. Incredibly frustrating to have a player that is actually good at the hardest thing to do in sports (hit a baseball) but he sucks anyway because he can't contribute in any other aspect of the game
  6. The Jays have a chance to do the funniest thing ever. Step 1: Jays fans keep hammering the All-Star voting Step 2: John Schneider doubles down on Jays and refuses to take any Yankees End result is 8 Jays All-Stars and 1 required Yankee (Aaron Judge who is hurt). Let the rage-baiting commence.
  7. You're right I misread Fangraphs but I was also basing my post off of TJ Stuff+ which has him as a tick better than last year. Not sure that really passes the eyeball test though so it will be interesting to see what Fangraphs' Stuff+ says.
  8. I'm going to get tarred and feathered for this, but yesterday's loss didn't bother me that much. It felt like one of those fluky losses that happens over 162 games, and the Astros probably deserved to win anyway after piling up the hits and homers. The main concern was Bieber who looked rough, but his Stuff+ was still in line with his 2022-24 seasons despite the velo dip, so hopefully it's just rust and he's a decent #3 moving forward. The offense also feels like it's starting to come around. We are inching are way toward league average wRC+ and the problems now seem to be almost solely due to a 82 wRC+ with RISP which is dead last. That's not going to last all season.
  9. Sanchez is such an annoying player. His sprint speed fell off a cliff and it's turned him from an average corner OFer into a horrendous one in just one season at age 28. He doesn't run anymore, he just lumbers. You almost need to consider getting old man Springer out in LF and DHing Sanchez.
  10. We finally have a real rotation for the first time all year. Then when we replace Corbin with Skubal at the deadline we will have the best one in baseball.
  11. Jays win and are back to .500. The Playoffs will once again be easy to make. Gerrit Cole is fat and he got his tits lit yesterday in a Yankee loss The Red Sox blow a game to the Rockies because Jarren Duran treated a baseball like a bar of soap Shane Bieber is back Spanky is back from the dead How's everyone feeling this fine morning?
  12. Yeah it would seem like it would be him or Urias.
  13. Idk I think I'm starting to enjoy this KEEP VOTING LMAO
  14. That off day along with Bieber coming back is really going to help the pitching staff. Lots of green on that chart and now SWR or Miles can piggyback with Corbin to give us a modern day #1-5 for the first time all season.
  15. Urias should be a fine bench option as his Steamer600 is 1.8 WAR. Both Ernie and Gimenez have been nursing injuries so he can help spell the both of them. My guess is that Pinango is the casualty. The team has to be pretty sick of the corner OF defense lately and Pinango doesn't bring much to the table that Sanchez doesn't. So Urias becomes the top infield bench option Lukes/Schneider in LF Sanchez/Straw in RF
  16. Already said by others, but the Visiting Team's dugout is where you want to sit if you want to be around fellow Jays fans at away games
  17. Cease vs. Brown Bieber vs. Lambert Yesavage vs. Burrows
  18. So the plan from here seems fairly straight forward to me. Immediately: Demote Little to the 9th circle of hell and then throw away whatever key was used to open up that portal so he can never return. Before tomorrow's game: Call up Macko Before Monday's game: Option Macko and reinstate Bieber Monday on: We ride
  19. The 2023 Diamondbacks almost did it! -15 run differential and they won the NL Pennant, sweeping the Dodgers along the way.
