    I'm starting to talk myself in to the idea that signing Colby Rasmus to platoon with Upton is a good option. He can't be that expensive and would provide a good risk-reward skillset for the contract the I envision him signing. Not sure how he feels about returning to TO or playing for Gibby again though.

    Rest assured that the OF will be dealt with. Signing Pearce doesn't preclude that from happening.

    It's fun in theory but pitcher fragility just casts huge doubt over the whole thing. I don't blame any player for skipping out on it.

    I know how to post gifs to imgur. How do I post them so they appear like yours on this website? Every time I post one it shrinks the image and it looks like a thumbnail.

    I think I actually rustled his jimmies once (probably the only time) in the politics thread. Shortly after, things settled down and he invited me to a BBQ. Nice guy.

    What do you think he gets then? Idk I think rejecting a decent but at the time not spectacular offer that early in FA seems pretty reasonable to me. It's like BTS said, how serious were the Jays? Seems like they gave him a take it or leave it deal back when nobody was signing deals yet. That'd be tough for one of the top bats on the market to accept without at least mulling it over or seeing what other teams would be interested.

    Yeah I don't think Dyson comes very cheap. He's a damn good player despite the injuries. I think you're right, they would want Estrada or Liriano or something.

    Agreed- If he plays 100 games next season the projections say that nearly everything he does in year 2 of the deal will be surplus value.
