To add, it would not only help speed and defense but overall hitting stats would improve a ton. If Morales was merely a poor runner and not one of the worst of all-time it would help his hitting a lot. His Infield Hit % was 1.9% last year. Steve Pearce was 8.9%. Idk exactly how many extra singles that is but that would really help Morales' slash line. Then factor in he'd have more doubles instead of having to stop at first at some balls hit to the wall and his slash line improves again. -
This is a pretty good one too. He'd be a monster.

What about pitchers? I guess you'd want to find the starter who has the shittiest 3rd pitch and make it a 70?

Kendrys 70 speed might be a consideration. He could play LF, his hitting numbers would be much improved as any GB is no longer an automatic out and he'd become a very good baserunner after being one of the worst. The WAR improvement would be pretty damn big.

That would be a good one. Could play all over the field while hitting 35 jacks.

Which tool or pitch on the Jays would you pick? Let's say this season only. Heard this on a podcast and thought it might be fun to try out. Making Kendrys Morales a 70 speed player was joked about on the pod but that might actually not be a terrible move. You could play him in LF and he'd become one of the best baserunners after being one of the worst. His hitting would be so much better too.

It's probably why they don't make the weighting public. If they give Zips a low number it makes Zips less likely to want to share their info with the site.

ATC looks pretty cool. Averages together various projection systems but weights them differently. I would definitely like to know the what systems are being given what weight, especially since it allows the Fan's projections on there. My guess is that is given very little weight.

He's looking good. Probably starts in AAA but any injury or ineffectiveness that occurs to the OF/DH positions and he'll get his chance.

He used to be a good player but fell off a cliff last year. Nice minor league depth.

Yeah there isn't a ton of special talent there but steamer and zips all like those players well enough.

I'm sure the park will be nicer, even though the other one was fine. The real problem is Arlington. That place sucks. Nothing to do whatsoever unless you drive into Dallas which isn't all that close.

They seem to want two infielders on the bench which makes sense because Donaldson is already nursing a calf injury and Travis will need lots of rest. Diaz will start so that leaves Solarte and perhaps Gift on the bench. Hernandez is a helluva lot better than Gift though but the need for IF help is greater.

Teoscar with another good game today. I think it's a legitimate question to ask who the best player among Teoscar, Morales and Pearce is right now. I think it's Teoscar for me and it might not even be close. Alford is probably better than Pearce and Morales too but I think he could use some more minor league ABs and the service time stuff matters with him right now. Will be interesting to see how the playing time in LF and at DH plays out this year. The best lineup might feature Teoscar as the full-time LF starter with Granderson forming one half of a platoon in LF.
