    This Copping guy looks terrible, much worse than that Phillies guy we just got, but I don't really care. Save a little bit of money and pick up a guy with options for org depth. Solid trade.

    In the States it is really big. The NFL is boring, the NBA is kind of picking up but not much and the NHL seems crazy but no one down here cares much.

    Osuna is going to face a shitload of immediate scrutiny but after that he comes out smelling like roses. A new start with the best team in baseball backing him.

    Did not like the Happ trade, the Oh trade was fine but this deal I really really like.

    My guess is no. Bring him up to MLB and let him close out the year. Hopefully he can reestablish his value and we can trade him next deadline.

    The Jays only discipline players of color (Osuna and Escobar). White players get away with a slap on the wrist (Pillar).

    This is a great deal for us. Giles and Osuna are similar talent-wise, Osuna has an extra year of control. Giles has some small character concerns, Osuna has a DV nightmare case on his hands in the #MeToo movement. The fact that we are getting two solid prospects on top of Giles surprises me. In other words, the Astros nearly paid 100 cents on the dollar for Osuna despite the DV charge when I was hoping we'd get 80 cents.

    Osuna is a really risk acquisition for the Astros. He could be subject to further discipline if his whole DV situation turns up more s*** on him.

    Where are you guys seeing that Paulino is in the deal? I haven't seen that on twitter.

    Yeah how many years does Osuna have left? Giles and Osuna are about the same talent wise. Giles is a mental patient and Osuna is a beater but I would prefer the mental patient.
