  1. So we get a Top 20ish type of fringe prospect and save $1.5M in the process.
  2. I don't understand this list at all. How is Verdugo ranked higher than Soto??
  3. Smith getting some love and a big jump for Gourdes Jr. I wonder what they see in him to justify a #76 ranking?
  4. Pearce will probably be hurt by then.
  5. Yeah he's pretty old. They need to move him up and we'll see how he responds.
  6. Not sure I like that comparison. This guy seems like he plays a good SS and has better baserunning. But yeah getting anything for Pearce is probably good.
  7. He's a little old for his level but he was drafted out of college and then had a hand injury which delayed his debut. Seems like he's an actual prospect though. I bet the Jay's threw in a bunch of cash to get him which is great to see instead of straight salary dumps.
  8. This year sucks. Anytime they even remotely tease you into thinking that they are going to get somewhat back in it they'll pull something like this.
  9. If Donaldson and Osuna are giving us something we likely are right around .500. With a good July we could be back in it. That's a lot of wouldas and couldas but truthfully if JD is playing up to his potential we would still be in it.
  10. Yeah I like it the way it is. We've got some really interesting names in short season and it helps to have it all in one spot. Thank you for all the work you do! POTY vote from me.
  11. On the radio it sounded like he got hit hard and had some amazing defense behind him.
  12. I feel you but I think you might be in agreement with me I just didn't make my point very well. 38 homer guys or 2 win players (however you want to define him) were basically going for free. It's hard to justify giving up a bunch of s*** AND paying a guy 22 million when you can have 2 WAR players for free. We might as well have kept JD because the packages in a market like that probably weren't all that great. I'm not even sure we gambled tbh, because the package we are missing out on might be pretty lame.
  13. Hindsight is 20/20. He's probably thinking he should have resigned with whatever number Shatkins gave him before the season. And I doubt the offers were that high for him anyway. Moose was coming off a 38 homer season and signed for 6.5 mil. Not sure why a team would give up a lot for a 22 million dollar season from Donaldson.
  14. Just saw that. Geezus what a disaster walk year for him. It's cost him tens and tens of millions.
  15. I bet he goes to an independent league and tries to prove himself that way. If he shines he could get a shot. He's just not worth the risk at this point.
  16. Teoscar's K-rate isn't really much of a concern at this point. Barely worse than league average and in the minors after his swing adjustment it was never really that bad. Last September it was bad but that was about it. His walk rate does suck though.
  17. That actually sounds about right. Nice 8 year run where he put up close to 2.5 WAR per year is about as good as we can realistically hope for.
  18. Holy s***, what a catch. Man Buck really downplayed that. The radio call was much better.
  19. How good was that catch? The radio guys were going nuts.
  20. Very very small sample size but DRS has liked his defense in LF and RF too.
  21. What's your handle? I'm sure you've been anointed a racist, minsogynst member of the alt-right by now. EDIT: NVM I found it. You kicked the hornets' nest. lol
  22. In 42 games Jose Bautista has more WAR than any other position player that we have except for Teoscar with whom he is tied.
  23. They've basically conquered the NBA. They are trying their hardest to ruin the NFL. MLB is next. I don't think the fans/players of MLB are going to be as keen to listen to this kind of s*** though. The demos are a lot different for fans of baseball then they are the NBA or NFL.
