  1. What if Bieber spins a gem tomorrow and Mad Max turns back the clock one more time in Game 4?
  2. Yeah and on top of it we struck out 4 and 5 times, respectively. The hard hit balls aren't dropping and we aren't getting any lucky bloopers either. Normally you'd expect at least some of those sub .200 xBAs to drop. Mariners meanwhile are striking out like crazy but when they do make contact it's dropping, despite some pretty darn low xBAs.
  3. Possible but the motivation will be high because how often will the Jays be playing ALCS baseball just a short drive away? Mariners had plenty of tickets still available until they had actually clinched too while the Jays were sitting around waiting.
  4. The Mariners have struck out 25 times in the two games so far and the Jays have struck out 9.
  5. Meaning this gritty Jays team will some how sweep in Seattle only to return to TO where the Mariners will take two fat dumps on us in the Rogers Centre again.
  6. It was a weird game, we struck out 4 times all game and couldn’t buy a hit to save our lives Higher xBA than them and they out hit us a lot. If we win tomorrow we are in decent shape still but it’s almost a must win.
  7. Hopefully tomorrow he can aim his line drives better
  8. World Series doesn’t start for almost two weeks. If we make it I bet he’s back.
  9. Vegas has it about the exact opposite. On paper the teams are pretty close. I think the Cal/Julio combo and their rotation and Closer would be enticing for a projection system. But they looked like crap against the Tigers who kind of suck. The rest/travel stuff will play a factor and overall the Mariners never really impress me much with their on field performance and game plans. They can develop talent, especially pitching, but it seems like they are perpetual underachievers. Same could be said about us I suppose but this year seems to be different.
  10. They aren’t fatas5es living sedentary life styles like you. No chance they get 2 day hangovers.
  11. We need to hammer these a$$holes in games 1 and 2
  12. Reported
  13. No lefty SPs for the Mariners. Let Nathan Lukes and Addison Barger cook.
  14. Has it dawned on you guys that we might actually be in the midst of a World Series run right now and we just don't know it yet? In other words, this might end up being one of the most memorable months of our lives and we are currently living through it. I've already got anxiety for Sunday's game and we don't even know who we are playing yet.
  15. Thank you for doing the right thing, sir. Anybody else want to step up?
  16. Studies show that teams traveling from West to East perform worse than teams traveling East to West. If the Mariners skate by the Tigers that could give us a slight nudge. https://www.si.com/edge/2017/01/25/jet-lag-athletes-performance-major-league-baseball?utm_source=chatgpt.com
  17. So far only Jonn has had the courage to stand up and do the right thing.
  18. Injuries and declines are often intertwined
  19. No doubt the 'roids and goldilocks balls are doing everything they can to keep his peak going. But his eyesight and athleticism could go at any minute at which point they are running two Stanton's out there every game.
  20. Will be an interesting offseason for them. They lose the following: OF Cody Bellinger OF Trent Grisham 1B Paul Goldschmidt RP Devin Williams RP Luke Weaver INF Amed Rosario OF Austin Slater Cole comes back so the rotation has pretty good potential. They could use a contact-oriented bat so Bo fits from that respect but with Jazz at 2B they'd need to move Volpe. It's definitely possible that they trade him (maybe for a CFer?) but they seem to like Volpe. He had a down year but he's still young and projects pretty well. And if they are trying to improve their defense I don't think Bo is the guy.
