    I'm almost amazed at how bad Brandon Drury is at the game of baseball. A lot of guys suck but the longevity to his ineptitude is remarkable. Chris Davis might be the only worse player in the game that sticks around but he's paid bank so there's an excuse. Drury just sticks around year after year, continuously sucking ass while also being incredibly cheap and easy to cut ties with. It's amazing.

    Joe Panik is so terrible. Watches 2 pitches right down the can and then gets a 3rd one which he hits a weak dribbler for a double play.

    Come on guys we pinch hit with Joe Panik today. Our bench is trash almost anyone with a pulse is an improvement. Vlad, Tellez, and Vogelbach is most definitely not ideal but between the 3 of them we’ve got a 1B, DH and pinch hitter each game now.

    We’ve won 4 in a row. Back in the playoff hunt but our plans to tank are being ruined. I can’t decide if we should extend or fire Montoyo.

    Lol I didn’t watch tonight but I just read the play by play. It’s almost like because Montoyo doesn’t ever pinch hit before the 9th inning he doesn’t think other managers will either. He walked Smith to get to Pat Valaika in the 7th but not even the Orioles are dumb enough to let him hit.

    At this point I wonder what Drury would have to do to actually get the boot. His Statcast page is comical. He's actually above average at barreling the ball but he's still toward the bottom of the league in exit velocity. The guy has zero talent. I wouldn't call up any blue chippers for this s***** ass year but I would absolutely call up the Forrest Walls, the Josh Palacios, etc. Heck callup Andy Burns. Play Espinal over Panik. If anything you know Montoyo will find ABs for everyone. Also, if they aren't going to put Alford in CF when he actually plays why not callup McKinney and play him in a corner instead? If he hits the 75th percentile or higher on his projections he's a big leaguer. I hope we start seeing stuff like this.

    Not a bad way to look at it. Get a good pick and come back next year with a more complete roster. We don't really lose a whole lot. Giles who is always hurt anyway and Shoemaker I believe. I think that's about it. Looks like we may have found a few guys for the bullpen. Just need a couple more and another starter or two and a couple of bench players. Is the draft supposed to be good this upcoming year?

    That could be true but those are unregressed splits which I don't really trust. He has like 150 ABs against lefties and 350 against righties and shows a small split already. Over time I bet that split would widen and he'd end up like everyone else. Regardless, given that he brings nothing else to the table, even a small split makes him pretty worthless against lefties. It kind of sucks because used right he could be a useful player that I might actually like. But seeing him trot out there as an everyday player is frustrating and makes me hate watching him.
