  1. The Yanks know they are f***ed so they are trying ******** pickoff plays to get out of this
  2. Yeah maybe he was just in pain and pitching through it or is sick or something.
  3. Cole looks nervous. He's very jittery. When he looks at his hat his hand is shaking big time.
  4. Cole just s*** his pants on that Gurriel flyball
  5. Teoscar getting to 3rd is big. Need to cash at least him.
  6. Idk after thinking about this some I don't think the lineup is that bad. With Springer unavailable Montoyo basically has 4 options for CF in Dyson, Grichuk, Dickerson and Teoscar: -Dyson: Can't hit to save his life -Grichuk: struggling big time and he ain't going to get it going against Cole -Dickerson: His CF defense will be a joke but he is a serviceable hitter and bats left-handed, maybe with the short porch in RF he can plop a ball over the fence -Teoscar: If you put him in CFer then you've got to put Dickerson in RF (assuming you don't want to jerk Gurriel around and given his crap defense I wouldn't) where the arm issues are just as prevalent So if you don't want to move everyone up a spot maybe you just put Dickerson in the leadoff spot and hope the Jays get a lead. Then after his 3rd AB, which hopefully comes relatively soon in the game given that he's the leadoff hitter, then you can put Dyson in as the defensive replacement.
  7. He seems to try to make up for it by releasing it quickly so if he's running to his right or left at all he'll scoop it and just chuck it to the cutoff man as fast as he can. On the few times where he's directly charged it and there's been a play at the plate it looked like the arm of a women's softball player.
  8. Dickerson leading off is bad enough but playing him in CF seems even worse. That guy's arm is completely shot.
  9. Nope but it does mean that he's a surplus asset that should probably be moved. He probably wouldn't have lasted through the offseason anyway due to 40-man roster concerns. So he had to go they just got the wrong guy in return.
  10. Grichuk is in one of his slumps which I assume he'll break out of and settle in as what he always is. He can play as a 4th OFer, even at his salary, for the next two years but he also doesn't fit the roster because we have no lefties in the OF. He'd be best suited to play over a left handed hitter when we face a LHP but since we don't have one he's kind of an awkward piece.
  11. The trade was fine at the time. Many questioned whether Hand was the right guy to acquire and they were ultimately proven right. But trading our ~5th best C in the org for a RP was a good call, it just didn't work out bc they couldn't fix what they thought was wrong with Hand. Good for the Jays to cut bait so quickly though.
  12. Welcome back my friend. The mods are more drunk on their power than ever. It's getting out of hand.
  13. Has Charlie Montoyo ever in his entire life (other than his love of the bongos) shown one ounce of the passion that John Schneider did when he was ejected? Let's can Charlie and give Schneider the reins for the rest of the season.
  14. She's a classic example of someone going to law school without having any sort of real plan to find a job that actually pays. Most of these people eventually end up in family law because it actually pays something and most people don't want to do it. But she is still acting like she's some sort of civil rights crusader. I still cannot believe that Fangraphs used to employ her lol.
  15. Yep, let's shove the chips in and go for it.
  16. Bring back Stro! I miss his warm and lovable personality.
  17. And get us right back to being the 85 WAR win team we were this year.
  18. Yeah going long term with Ray seems way more risky to me than it does with Semien. First of all he's a pitcher which is riskier, I trust Semien's track record more, and Semien is just flat out the more valuable player. If we can only sign one Semien is the no brain choice to me.
  19. 5/125 for Semien is a steal. The guy has turned into a perennial Top 5 MVP candidate.
  20. We should resign them both and trade for J-Ram. It’s time to win.
  21. Biggio needs to get healthy so he can be the 2nd piece in a package for J-Ram this offseason.
  22. I don’t know what’s going exactly but Martin’s OBP is inflated by the fact that he’s been HBP 22 times this year.
