  1. Good lord, 4 years at 17 mil a year for Taillon. At this point the Jays probably should have offered Stripling the QO.
  2. Dombrowski is just writing blank checks at this point.
  3. If you want to give 12-18 million to a guy who with a .260 OBP then yes you are a fanboy.
  4. If we signed him for 17.5M Jim and the other Fanboys would have been geeking out over it
  5. On a one year deal it's barely any different than 12M + incentives. And 12 is just a number that was thrown about. If 12 is ok, I'm sure 14 would have been too.
  6. Hilarious how all the Bellinger fanboys wanted him on some sort of 12 million dollar deal with incentives that could push it to 20. He signs for 17.5 and they all act like they are glad he didn't sign.
  7. lol what a dummy
  8. Heyman having a stroke while delivering the news
  9. #3 SP options are starting to dry up in FA. Jays might need to bring Stripling back.
  10. 2 year deal with an opt out for Heaney
  11. Sounds like the Giants and Cubs are our main competition. I could see him playing for either if they outbid us but of the three we seem like the best fit for him as we are both a contender and have a good ballpark for him.
  12. One of my berries was injured in a motorcycle accident about ten years ago (luckily my buddy showed up with his truck and we got out of there before the cops showed up). The doctors wanted to remove the injured nut because it no longer functions but I told him I'd kill him if he took it out. So I do have a full set of nads but only one works. But because my nuts are so damn big my T-levels are still 4x as high as your average 25 year old male according to the doctor lol.
  13. He probably loses more sleep over the 2020 election.
  14. It's basically the same thing. Laika left out the part which states, "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." Canada's is probably better (if keeping criminals out of jail is your goal) because it is put in slightly easier to understand terms and then directly asks the person if they want to call a lawyer. The US's requires the slightest amount of deductive reasoning to hear the statement and then to take it and actually apply it to your current situation. A lot of criminals are too stupid to do that.
  15. I'd probably trade Tiedemann for him. I'm tired of having to dip in to FA every year for starters so I'd hate to do it and it would scare me shitless but he's a 20 year old pitcher and Reynolds projects for 4 WAR next year. 3 years of a guy like Reynolds is pretty damn valuable. I also have no idea what to make of Reynolds' defense. According to Statcast, he was average in '19 and '20, elite in '21 and horrible in '22. If his defense checks out and he's a guy we can play in center for the next three years I'd throw in Martinez on top of Tiedemann for him.
  16. Back in the 90's, Todd Stottlemyre was arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer over a 3 dollar cover fee to a nightclub. Yet here you are heaping praise on him and his bloody chin with your username yet Curt Schilling posts a few boomer memes and you get your panties in a bunch. You're a fraud and a hypocrite.
  17. In fairness when I just type it out like that it makes it look better than it actually is. He's so in your face and unrelenting with it that it plays up, not down, when he's doing it in real time. I can definitely see how it rubs people the wrong way to the point they won't put him in the HoF but I don't think it should. I don't have Facebook anymore but if I did I guarantee you anyone age 50+ who uses it a lot posts that kind of crap all the time. Perhaps it's different when it's a public figure vying for the Baseball HoF and not someone's 60 year old aunt.
  18. Ok so what has Schilling actually said that is so offensive that it should prevent him from entering the HoF? I googled it and some clickbait article presented the following: 1. He posted a right wing boomer meme about transgender bathroom laws. 2. He made a nazi comparison by stating that 5-10% of Muslims are extremists and that in 1940 only 7% of Germans were Nazis. Ok, so we got more ******** boomer memes coming through. 3. He denied the theory of evolution in a debate with Keith Law. LOL 4. He defended the State of South Carolina flying the Confederate Flag. Seems crazy right now but ten years ago it was a pretty common position. This is probably the worst thing on the list so far. 5. He frequently criticized Hillary Clinton. 6. Claimed ESPN employs some of the biggest racists in sports. 7. Says he's not in the HoF because of his political beliefs. 8. Criticized Obama for not having a flag in his recreation of the Selma bridge march, while also seemingly giving the original 1965 marchers some credit for having tons of flags in their march? Looks like this list might be a little bit old. I know more recently he said that Adam Jones' story that he was called the N-word in Boston was ********. Boston is a racist hellhole but Adam Jones is also a huge drama queen. Not sure that one tops anything else on the list. So he's basically your average idiot boomer who is active on Facebook. That's not even close enough to keep him out of the HoF.
  19. We all know how I feel about Danny Jansen but even I wouldn't want Alec Burleson for him. I think Jansen plus something for Nootbar works. I think Jansen for Oneill is also pretty fair.
  20. In the future a 28 million AAV will probably look like less than it is now too.
  21. Pete Walker got on the sauce again and apparently his big idea to fix Kikuchi was to calm his nerves by having the team feed him drinks all year. It's imperative that the Jays get both Walker AND Kikuchi off the booze if they want to win this year.
  22. The length is bad but the AAV is relatively low. They are definitely going to be eating some years on that but I think there's a chance this doesn't end up being so bad.
